Lisa Barlow Admits ‘Creepy’ Monica Garcia Is ‘Good TV’

Part three of the explosive Real Housewives of Salt Lake City reunion will hit Bravo this week, and fans are curious who will be among the returning cast. Lisa Barlow, who claimed she brought the show to Utah (even though the lie detector test determined that was a lie), has some interesting thoughts about working with her co-star, Monica Garcia

During the Season 4 finale, Heather Gay and the other SLC ladies exposed Monica for being the face behind Reality Von Tease — an Instagram account created to take down Jen Shah. However, the troll account slowly began harassing the rest of the ladies in 2020.

Following their intense showdown, the OG Housewives asked Monica to leave their cast trip. “I was really angry because I’m like, ‘We let you in our space, and this whole time, you were going online and bullying every single one of us,’” Lisa told Deadline. “The way she was watching all of us and studying us, it felt so dark and creepy and so invasive.”

Monica was introduced to the rest of the ladies as Jen’s assistant. However, Lisa said the newest SLC cast member used her position to spy on Jen, her family, and her co-stars.

“We figured out that [Monica] was logging into Jen’s security cameras watching her for months,” Lisa said. “All of the videos that were going up about Jen on Reality Von Tease were downloaded from security cameras. That was so crazy to me.”

Since being exposed by her castmates and former bestie Tenesha Luckett, Lisa isn’t sure she can move forward with the mother of four.

“The fact that [Monica] can send her friends videos inciting her mother, and yelling at her mom, and demeaning her mother, I could never trust her again,” she said. “I just couldn’t trust her. I don’t want her in my home [and] I don’t want her in my space.”

Bravo fans are split down the middle regarding a potential Monica return in the future. Some say Monica revived the show. According to Lisa, the “season would’ve been good with or without Monica because there was so much that we had to resolve.”

Even then, she admitted her season’s biggest foe was “great TV,” but added filming with her was a challenge.

“It was hard because, for me, it was dealing with someone that’s very sophomoric. I like to argue smart. Heather and I can dish and take. I think with Monica it was a little hard because her jeers were so low. I mean, how do you respond to someone that’s saying, ‘Fix your face, you’re ugly.’ You can’t respond to that.”

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City concludes with Part 3 of the Season 4 reunion, Tuesday January 23, at 8/7c on Bravo.
