Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix’s new man, Daniel Wai, is nothing like her former love. Tom Sandoval betrayed Ariana by cheating on her with her friend, Rachel Leviss. But Ariana found, by all accounts, a sweet and supportive partner in Daniel. You know, the exact opposite of Sandoval.
During her stint on Dancing with the Stars, Daniel often traveled from his home in New York to cheer on Ariana. The Pump Rules star shared that Daniel is “just so nice and kind and lovely and caring.”
With Season 11 of VPR set to premiere soon, Ariana shared what it was like to introduce Daniel to her co-stars. After all, Daniel filmed for the first time with this crew. It must have been awkward for Sandoval.
Introducing Daniel was easy for Ariana
Ariana met Daniel at a friend’s wedding shortly after news of Sandoval’s cheating broke. They have been dating long-distance ever since. But Ariana’s upcoming run in Chicago on Broadway means she is temporarily moving to New York.
“It’s really fun to be able to do normal things because when you’re seeing someone long distance, every time you see each other it’s like an occasion,” Ariana told The Messenger. “But being in the same city for a little bit longer period of time, it’s nice to be able to do things like grocery shop, and just ‘What do you want to do? Do you want to go to dinner?'”
While Daniel may be new to the world of reality television, he wasn’t new to many of Ariana’s inner circle. “What’s fun is … we met through my best, longest friend, so there wasn’t a lot of having to explain who this person is or who that person is. There were only a couple people that he hadn’t met, like James [Kennedy] and Lala [Kent], and then he got to meet them,” Ariana explained.
I think it will be interesting to watch Daniel interacting with the Pump Rules cast! I’m glad that Ariana is in a good relationship. She deserves to be happy and have a good man in her life.
