Teresa Giudice Reflects on Life in Prison: ‘I Cooked Dinner for Everyone’

The Real Housewives of New Jersey OG Teresa Giudice is reflecting on her time in prison during a new interview. She revealed there were a few things that weren’t so bad.

The Bravo star was released in 2015 after serving 11 months. She pled guilty to wire and bankruptcy fraud and immediately returned to life in front of the cameras upon release. Shortly after, she wrote about her time in prison in her memoir, Turning Tables.

Now, Teresa is talking more about her time behind bars. She’s sharing what she most looked forward to as an inmate at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut.

On the latest episode of the Hollywood Raw podcast, Teresa revealed that she took on an interesting role while locked away in prison.

“I cooked dinner for everyone,” she said. Teresa added that she always looked forward to a banana nut muffin in the mornings. When asked just how many of her fellow inmates she once cooked a chicken stir fry for, the reality star said nearly “200.”

“My roommate was a politician. I was in there with doctors, lawyers. Yeah, I mean, I’ve met a lot of cool people in there,” she said.

From the sounds of it, Teresa’s stay in prison for fraud was much easier than her reality TV peer, Todd Chrisley. Since reporting to prison, Todd’s children, Savannah and Chase Chrisley have spoken out about the rough conditions their parents are living in.

“You have no air conditioning. It can be 115 degrees inside,” Savannah said during an interview. “You’re padlocking ice machines, you’re not giving proper medical care, you’re giving people the wrong medication.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey is expected to return to Bravo in 2024.
