Lala Kent Addresses Seemingly Shady ‘God’ Comment About Ariana Madix

When the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 trailer first hit YouTube, one of the most-discussed moments was Lala Kent calling Ariana Madix “God.” More specifically, she said, “I have never experienced someone who gets cheated on and suddenly she becomes God.”

Viewers latched onto the comment because Lala’s tone sounded so vicious. Plus, the remark came at the top of the trailer’s crescendo. It was hard for fans to read the comment as anything other than jealousy.

Given how intensely people online discussed Lala’s observation, she has since clarified the remark, but only as much as she was able to. With only so much she’s allowed to reveal, Lala gave minimal details. At the Wednesday night premiere, she shared as much as she could.

Lala promises “people will be torn” over VPR Season 11

Entertainment Tonight spoke with Lala at the VPR Season 11 premiere, asking for more clarification on the “God” comment. Lala teased, “You’re gonna have to find out why I said that. No, you’ll see why I say it. Bottom line is, no matter what types of beefs I go through with the girls on this show, I have a tremendous amount of respect for all of them and that will not change.”

ET hoped to get more context but Lala remained tight-lipped. “You’re gonna see, you know, everything plays out,” she teased further. “And I think what’s great about this season is that people will be torn. And I love when people are torn on reality TV because it creates the conversation. You know, cause there’s nothing more I love than like, Bravo talk.”

Indeed, the VPR stars have suggested that Season 11 might have fans changing allegiances. Even Ariana said fan opinion might turn on her as a result of everything that goes down in the upcoming season. And speaking of Ariana, when ET asked about the comment, she said, “Well, come correct. It’s goddess, and I always was one and so was she.”

Vanderpump Rules Season 11 hits Bravo on Tuesday, January 30 at 8/7c.
