Season 3 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City had a special guest star. That’s right, Heather Gay’s mysterious black eye took over the show. Heather debuted her new look after a night of partying with her RHOSLC co-stars Meredith Marks and Jen Shah in San Diego. In fact, Jen and Heather summoned Meredith the next morning to show her the injury. They claimed to not remember how it happened.
First, Heather said that she knew how it happened, and hinted that someone else also knew. But then Heather changed her story, claiming that she didn’t remember. And at the Season 3 reunion, she copped to being so drunk that she fell and injured herself. It was exhausting listening to these weird excuses.
Finally, during the epic Season 4 finale, Heather shared that it was Jen who gave her the infamous shiner. Now Meredith is weighing in with her theories of how Heather sustained the injury.
Meredith on Heather’s black eye: She thinks it was a “silly” accident
“She didn’t say, ‘She punched me in the eye.’ If I had to make my best guess, it happened when they were drunk and running around and being silly,” Meredith told E! News. Well, it might have happened that way.
Jen responded to Heather’s allegations from prison. “BRAVO, if I punched Heather in her eye, you guys would have footage to prove it,” she posted on Instagram. “It’s clear the show can’t live without me since I was brought up at the beginning, middle and end of season 4.” She also threatened to sue Bravo, Andy Cohen, and Heather over the allegations.
Meanwhile, Andy denied that Bravo had footage of the incident. “I don’t want to be captain obvious here, but if we had footage, don’t you think we would’ve aired it? Heather’s saying, ‘I don’t know how I got the black eye,’ and then don’t you think we would’ve cut to the footage with a chyron that said, ‘Four hours earlier?'” he remarked. Truth!
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City reunion concludes on Tuesday, January 23, at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
