The yachting life seems to call to a certain kind of man. A nomadic lifestyle. The lack of monotony, the ability for mobility, and the fact that potential romantic matches on board come and go as well seems idyllic for this type of man.
It seems logical that a player type would be drawn to this career path. And there’s usually one cast on any Below Deck season.
For Below Deck Mediterranean Season 8, there was Luka Brunton. And in a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live, he was asked to choose between a trio of his flirty friends for a series of questions.
Luka said he wouldn’t bring Jess home to meet his parents
Below Deck Med fans will remember that Luka was first drawn to Natalya Scudder, but after she left the boat, the bosun moved in on third stew Jessika Asai. Not that he cut contact with Natalya. Production showed Luka sending suggestive texts to the Australian native. He also had a flirty contact with Below Deck Med alum Katie Flood. A side note that Captain Sandy Yawn made quite the issue over.
Jessika chose to turn a blind eye to Luka’s tendencies. And the duo even planned to vacation after the charter season together. Nobody thinks anything really came of their hookup, but it was worth asking about. It turns out that the bosun felt he had little chemistry with the Hawaii native.
Andy Cohen asked the Below Deck Down Under alum to choose between Jessika, Katie, and Natalya in a game called Stew Would You Rather.
Katie got picked for having the best banter, the one Luka would want to backpack Europe with, and whose smile drives him wild the most.
The bosun chose Natalya as the one with the most enviable work ethic, and the sillliest sense of humor.
Luka had trouble when Andy asked, “Who would you bring home to meet your parents?”
“This is a tough one,” he answered. “Not Jess. I probably am not going to bring anyone home to meet my parents.”
“Why not Jess?” the WWHL host asked. Luka responded that “there wasn’t even any chemistry there.” Harsh.
