The yachties on Below Deck are often written about for their behaviors on-air. In several cases though, their antics when not starring on Bravo have made even bigger headlines. I’m not talking about fun stuff, like marriages, children, or endorsement deals. Instead, I’m talking about mugshots, jail cells, and charges pressed.
In total, 11 different Below Deck cast members have spent time behind bars. For some, their arrests went down years before their series ever filmed. For others, their arrests came either just prior to their air date, during their season’s playback, or even shortly after their charter seasons ended. If you’re curious which yachties we are talking about, we’ve got you, as here are the 11 Below Deck stars with arrest records on their resumes.
Captain Sandy Yawn
Long before Captain Sandy Yawn appeared on Below Deck Mediterranean, she was arrested for driving under the influence. These days, Captain Sandy is using her platform to open up about her addictions. Overall, her ability to mentor those on her watch has provided for several positive scenes on BDM, especially with the crew members who partied a bit too hard.
Luckily, Captain Sandy has now been sober for just over 35 years. Her arrest record didn’t hold her back from her dreams, which we love.
Kyle Dickard
Kyle Dickard didn’t earn himself any fans while starring on Below Deck Adventure. Shortly after he was fired on-air, Kyle made headlines again, as he arrested down in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Here, Kyle ran onto a soccer field during a game, then, allegedly, he tried to bribe the authorities into letting hehim go. After his release, Kyle laughed about his arrest online, clearly giving zero f’s about his newly acquired arrest record.
Kate Chastain
In 2014, Kate Chastain appeared as Below Deck’s Chief Stew. In 2016, Kate’s arrest for a domestic violence incident with her then-girlfriend, Rocío “Ro” Hernandez, hit the airwaves. Allegedly, Kate bit Ro, but in the bodycam footage, she accused her now-ex of being the instigator. After litigation, the charges were dropped, and when speaking to People about what her arrest had taught her, Kate said, “Definitely to not be as open about who I’m dating.”
Rhylee Gerber
Before joining Below Deck Season 6, the controversial deckhand of our dreams, Rhylee Gerber, was arrested in Texas on trespassing charges. Radar Online reported on this matter, stating that Rhylee had “unlawfully, intentionally and knowingly” entered and remained on the property of another woman, without the woman’s consent. The charges were dropped only two weeks later, after Ryhlee wrote an apology letter, completed a decision-making class, and completed 12 hours of community service.
Ross Inia
Ross Inia starred on Below Deck Season 6 alongside Rhylee. Just as their season began airing, off-air, Ross was arrested for disorderly intoxication and battery. As for his arrest record’s end result, Ross entered a not guilty plea, and the charges were shockingly dropped.
Caroline Bedol
We have yet another Season 6 rebel yachtie on our hands in Caroline Bedol. While many shocking Below Deck firings have occurred, Caroline’s was more so tragic, as she felt bullied by her team, and once she was off of the yacht, she began to spiral. In 2018, Caroline was charged with possession of a vicious, barking dog and failure to comply with dog ownership requirements. Then, in 2019, Caroline was arrested for larceny, yet she was released from custody just a few hours later.
These days, Caroline is keeping a lower profile, and we wish her the best. Hopefully, her arrest records will never see another incidence added on.
Baker Manning
Roughly 10 years before Baker Manning swabbed the decks on Below Deck Season 5, she was arrested for having cocaine and marijuana on her person, all while in close proximity to a school. Radar Online reported on this first, stating that her arrest stemmed from a noise complaint during a house party. We’re happy to report that this BD alum has no other arrest records to date.
Adrienne Gang
Adrienne Gang made waves in 2013 as the first Chief Stew on the inagural season of Below Deck. Yet, the year prior, she was arrested for assault and battery. Acording to the Tampa Bay Times, Adrienne hit her cab driver after a night out in Hillsborough County, where I live, but not everything is about me, I’m sadly told. Wildly, while sitting in custody, her toxicology report revealed that she had been spiked with GHB, so despite having an arrest record now, we are choosing to look at Adrienne’s life with relief, as things could have ended up so much worse.
Samantha Orme
Starring underneath Adrienne on the first ever BD interior team, Samantha Orme‘s calm, cool, and fun personality shone. Yet prior to her debut, she was arrested for driving under the influence. Likewise, she also used a fake ID, which is a big no no. Currently, Samantha’s arrest records are stagnant, as she is living a quieter life away from Bravo and the yachting industry.
C.J. LeBeau
Ugh, we’ve got yet another first season Below Deck star with an arrest record. In 2013, right as his season aired, C.J. LeBeau‘s arrest came after he assaulted his then-fiancé. In their coverage, TMZ shared that C.J. “took her to the ground,” while in turn, she struck C.J. Domestic violence is never ok, so we hope that all parties involved learned from this arrest.
Kyle Dixon
Thankfully, Kyle Dixon is our final BD star with an arrest record, for now. After starring on Seasons 4 and 5, Kyle found himself in deep shiz after exiting a flight. As for why, Kyle’s arrest came after he allegedly robbed the bar that he had previously worked in. Following this, Kyle paid his bail and walked, and he is now living his life in peace, despite his arrest record and his cringy romance fails that we all saw transpire on Below Deck.
