Ariana Madix’s achievements in 2023 were staggering. After a soul-crushing run through Vanderpump Rules Season 10, it didn’t take too long for the multi-talented star to land on her feet. As Ariana’s name recognition grows, so too do her offers, and vice versa.
But despite her many recent triumphs, one of her longtime goals remains unfulfilled – her plans to open up a sandwich shop with her best friend, Katie Maloney. The shop has yet to open but reports suggest it’s nearly ready. The two friends were even spotted filming there ahead of Season 11.
However, given how long Something About Her is taking to open, many have theorized the shop was more about selling merchandise than actually running an eatery. Amid all the reports and rumors, Ariana has given an update on what’s keeping Something About Her closed.
Is there something fishy about Something About Her?
In a recent TikTok posted by The Bravo Babe, Ariana addressed Something About Her’s status while in an interview. She confirmed that her sandwich shop would eventually be opening in LA, and spoke on the journey up to this point. “This was something that Katie and I wanted to do and … this location fell into our lap about a little over a year ago.”
She continued, “We weren’t expecting to find such an incredible location that fast,” next to SUR no less. Ariana then explained how the city wanted to turn Robertson Blvd. into a pure walkway with no cars allowed. “So, we had to rip out our patio. And then, turns out, there were things that were code violations with the landlord that she had to take care of. No problem. Fine.”
Ariana then explained all involved were “waiting for the city to schedule things. But I don’t want them to be mad at us, ‘cause I certainly don’t want them to be like, ‘Hey, f*ck off.’” She further emphasized, “We’re at the mercy of the city. But it’s a great city to be a part of … We’re ready to go whenever they say thumbs up. You guys have to come get a sandwich.” We’ll see.
