As often evidenced when Lisa Rinna was still on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, “you better believe [she’s] gonna talk about it!” This time, Lisa’s flapping her famous lips about her and Harry Hamlin’s sex life. The two have been married for almost three decades.
Lisa, who’s 60, covered Cosmopolitan’s “Sex After 60” issue and discussed how her and Harry’s sex life has taken a hit as they age. It’s a stunningly honest and refreshing take from someone entering their 60s.
Here’s what she had to say about their bedroom antics.
Lisa Rinna: “It doesn’t happen as often”
Lisa bared her nips (again) for the Cosmo cover and got honest about what sex looks like for her and Harry – who’s 12 years her senior – as they’ve aged. According to her, the biggest change has been the drop in frequency, influenced by Harry’s “desire levels.”
Don’t get it twisted, though! About two years ago, Harry made sure to let everyone know that his junk still works just fine. I would also assume his delicious sauce-making takes up a lot of time.
Lisa shared, “We really have great sex together, and we always have.” But, she couldn’t help but add, “It’s just that maybe it doesn’t happen quite as often as it did when you’re in your 30s and in your 20s, I would say. And I think that’s normal.”
Lisa described this shift as the “natural evolution of life.” She’s not one to take it personally, acknowledging that coexisting without taking it to heart is key. It seems like they’ve crafted a “space for the “ebb and flow” of their senior-years sexuality.
Lisa embraces the confidence and passion she’s gained with age
Despite the decrease in bedroom Olympics, Lisa proudly declared she’s more in tune with her sexuality than ever. “I’ve gotten to that place where at 60, I am so much more confident than I was at 30.” Well, that explains her periodic Instagram thirst traps.
“I love this age because I’m freer and more confident and more passionate than I’ve ever been,” Lisa declared.
And with a hint of humor, she reminisced about her repressed upbringing, noting, “I grew up very repressed, like everybody did in the ’60s.” Apparently, being a “nice girl” in Medford, Oregon, meant not talking about or flaunting one’s saucy side or feelings.
Lisa continued, “You can see how well that went for me. I rebelled, certainly, after a while. But I toed the line really well for a very long time, even when I first met Harry.”
Let this be a lesson to all of us: even if you’re so skilled at giving blow jobs that you write about it in your book (that, mortifyingly, your daughter later reads), age eventually catches up to slow you down – and bring you Depends commercial opportunities.
You can often see Lisa on Instagram doing the most, or watch her past seasons of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Peacock.
