Katie Maloney Not Seeing ‘Massive Amount of Growth’ From Rachel Leviss

Rachel Leviss resurfaced this week after living largely out of the limelight since her affair with Tom Sandoval surfaced in March 2023. The cast went on to film a highly dysfunctional reunion, and Rachel checked into a voluntary therapy center for 90 days thereafter.

The social media blackout was challenging for those hoping for updates. And with Rachel working on her mental health, it made sense to wonder what she may have learned during her time in Arizona.

Katie Maloney, for one, was unaccepting of any of her former co-star’s explanations after her affair with Ariana Madix’s ex-boyfriend came to light. She’s held her resolve on the matter of Rachel ever since. So with the January 8 premiere of Rachel’s podcast, Rachel Goes Rogue, Vanderpump Rules fans are curious as to what the Something About Her co-owner has to say.

Katie thinks Rachel “should just come back to the show”

Katie appeared on the Disrespectfully-The Good, The Bad, And The Unhinged podcast recently to react to Rachel’s big comeback.

Talking about the theme of accountability, Katie suggested her former co-star was, “not actually taking it and blaming everyone outside yourself.”

“I’d be remiss if I didn’t also bring up the fact that Rachel’s coming out with a podcast. And I’m not gonna listen to it,” she continued.

No one expected Katie to listen to Rachel Goes Rogue, and she confirmed the sentiment and explained why. Tom Schwartz’s ex-wife also made a case for Rachel returning to Vanderpump Rules.

“I have too much respect for my time,” the Something About Her co-founder said. “I still maintain that she should just come back to the show. If this is ultimately where she was going to end up, and I don’t think she ended up here by accident. I think this is probably always been her plan. She should have just come back to the damn show, and been accountable there. And told her side of the story, or whatever she wanted to do, there to be honest.”

The accountability of it all

Katie feels that Rachel has yet to take proper accountability for her part in the affair. She stated, “Whenever I keep reading things, it just seems like a lot of, still wanting to position herself as a victim. I’m not seeing that there’s been a massive amount of growth in her quotes or like a lot of introspection. A lot of accountability being taken. Just saying her darkest hours were the consequences of her actions.”

“Ma’am when are you just gonna be like, ‘I really fucked up.’ Period in a sentence,” Katie questioned. She then listed what she thinks are the excuses made since the affair went public.

“You’re not blaming outside sources. Trying to say you were manipulated, trying to say you weren’t friends with this person. Trying to say you didn’t want to put yourself in front of them. Because it was gonna hurt them ma’am. You actively made choices on a daily for months and months,” she concluded.

Vanderpump Rules returns January 30 on Bravo.
