We’ve seen a fair share of convoluted feuds on The Real Housewives of Potomac over the years. This Season 8 beef between Nneka Ihim and Dr. Wendy Osefo might be the most bizarre.
Nneka claimed that before filming Season 8, Wendy and her family conspired to take her down. She said her cousin-in-law, who was also Wendy’s sister’s former BFF, spilled the beans about the behind-the-scenes plot. She also claimed that Wendy’s mom was submitting her name to shrines and praying against her.
Wendy denied the allegations and pretended like she didn’t know Nneka. Nothing is adding up, and during a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Nneka said she’s ready to get this all cleared up.
Nneka wants peace, but she needs answers
Although Wendy’s family has been a major topic of discussion in Season 8, Nneka said it’s been crickets from them since the feud started unfolding on television. She said she feels horrible for her cousin-in-law, Lebe, who suddenly got mixed up in the nonsense and lost her friendship with Wendy’s sister.
“It’s all very unfortunate,” Nneka told the outlet. “She and I are very close. She’s more like my sister, more than a cousin-in-law, and she lost a friendship, a 13-year friendship, by virtue of just being related to me through marriage. So she’s hurt, deeply hurt by what has transpired. But she’s doing OK.”
There’s been a lot of back-and-forth between Nneka and Wendy at this point, but nothing has been resolved. Nneka said she was ready for an explanation of why Wendy tried to smear her name. Also, what was up with that random crackhead accusation during the Austin trip?
“How did I become a crackhead If I’ve never used crack?” Nneka asked. “I just would like to know more about these things. I would love some answers on that.”
Nneka said that once she gets her answers, she can reach a peaceful state with Wendy. Based on the midseason trailer, we might have to wait until the reunion to see that peace. But, Nneka swears it’s something she wants!
“I definitely always want peace, or at least an opportunity for perspectives to be shared,” Nneka claimed. “Then we can reach a place of understanding of each other’s point of view.”
