Rachel Leviss Reveals ‘Main Reason’ She Quit Vanderpump Rules

For those Vanderpump Rules fans still interested in Rachel Leviss’ side of the story, it’s time to tune in. The former reality TV star gained notoriety from her involvement in a months-long affair with Tom Sandoval. As a result of the affair, she lost any friendships she had within the cast.

Given the toxicity of the situation and the public outcry against the betrayal of her former co-star Ariana Madix, Rachel left Los Angeles and checked into a voluntary therapy center for 90 days. She was without her phone during treatment, and essentially went off the grid.

It was a decision made in the best interest of her mental health. But Rachel’s absence may have inadvertently created more interest once she did decide to tell her side of the story.

Rachel felt she wouldn’t “get my story across”

And what better way to debut her podcast, Rachel Goes Rogue, than to explain why she won’t be returning to the reality TV show that made her famous. And just shy of the return of Vanderpump Rules’ next season.

“The main reason why I didn’t wanna be a part of Season 11 is because I don’t wanna be with Tom, and I’ve made the decision to cut Tom out of my life. Going back to film the show; it would force me to interact with him, first of all, and I know I’m on the outskirts with all the other cast, so I wouldn’t get my story across,” Rachel explained.

It seems that Rachel is worried about being ostracized with Tom. And being with him could put her in a vulnerable situation again.

“I really believe that the girls wouldn’t give me the time of day to let me open up to them, given my previous history with my interactions with them,” she continued. “So, because I would be on the outskirts with the cast it would put me in the same boat as Tom, and Tom has a way with his words, and he would get back in my ear and, I could just … I know I’m not in the place where I’m completely strong enough to be able to resist that.”

It seems that therapy was effective in giving Rachel tools to assess situations better. And in that mindset, she chose to leave Vanderpump Rules

“The risk versus reward: it’s too risky for me to go back. Especially at the most vulnerable state that I’ve ever been in, in my life,” the former reality TV star concluded.

Vanderpump Rules Season 11 premiers January 30 at 8/7c on Bravo.
