Season 4 of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City put all the other shows in the franchise to shame and we can thank Meredith Marks for that. The “Hanging By a Thread” host came to play this season. She ranted, spread rumors, and slipped into various accents. Goals! After a less-than-stellar third season, the jewelry designer has earned her way back into fans’ hearts. Here are all the ways Meredith saved RHOSLC Season 4.
She Caused Dinner Party Drama
All Housewives fans remember where they were when Meredith shouted, “YOU CAN LEAVE” at Angie Katsanevas. The drama began when Angie and Meredith were sparring at a dinner in Palm Springs. After Angie started taking jabs at Meredith’s business, the hostess ordered her co-star to leave the trip. She delivered the line like you would if you were playing a Queen in a community theatre production.
Meredith’s behavior at the dinner was beyond entertaining. She asked a waiter (not security) to make Angie leave the restaurant, brought up disabled children for no reason, and kept slipping into a British accent. It was perfect. When Meredith delivered her Palm Springs rant, I think we all collectively took a breath and thought, “Oh, this will be a good season.”
She Fought Over a Bathtub
Meredith and Whitney Rose‘s bathtub drama was just what we needed after dealing with a season of legal drama last year. It was ridiculous but we loved it.
In the premiere episode, Meredith confronted Whitney about a comment she made in an interview with Page Six. In the article, Whitney was asked how she felt about Meredith and her husband Seth taking baths together. Whitney admitted she was not fond of the idea of bathing with another person, telling the outlet, “it creeps me out.”
Meredith apparently took Whitney’s comment very seriously. Whitney tried to diffuse the situation, insisting she was just joking but Meredith was not having it. She responded, “It was a dig on my marriage and a dig on my bathtub.”
Meredith making a storyline out of a bathtub comment makes her a winner in our eyes. The bathtub drama was so funny, and fans loved seeing a less serious side of her.
She Spread So Many Rumors
If Meredith knows how to do one thing, it’s to threaten her co-stars with information. During the Palm Springs trip, she threatened to “go there” with rumors about Angie’s husband being gay.
Later in the season, Monica Garcia claimed Meredith told her Angie could be in the Greek Mafia. Meredith denied saying Angie was in the Mafia. However, the girls don’t seem to be buying it. I mean, she did suggest Lisa Barlow put out for Jazz tickets last season. Meredith seems to have dirt on everyone, and we’re living for how messy she’s been with her gossip this season.
She Went Through Bathtub Withdrawal
In the past, Meredith was one of the more low-key RHOSLC stars, but this season, she’s proved she’s all about the drama. One of her most dramatic moments came during a trip to Bermuda when she complained about being assigned a room without a bathtub. I mean, can you even imagine????
The 52-year-old wasn’t feeling too well on the trip, so naturally, she assumed her co-stars would give her one of the best rooms. But they didn’t, so Meredith was stuck with a just a shower. Unbelievable!!! She was so dramatic about it, laying in bed complaining about how inconsiderate her castmates were for not thinking about her bathtub needs. We loved watching her be so over-the-top over a room assignment. She was channeling RHONY star Luann de Lesseps’ infamous fish room meltdown.
She (Sort Of) Made Up With Lisa
We hated seeing Meredith and Lisa at odds last season. They barely spoke all season and we wondered if the two would ever recover from Lisa’s infamous hot mic moment. While it’s clear the two still have some work to do, we liked seeing Meredith make an effort to mend her relationship with her former bestie.
