Kristen Doute hasn’t been on Vanderpump Rules since 2020 but she still knows every detail about the show. While Kristen might have missed out on filming during Season 10 and Scandoval, she was well-informed thanks to her relationship with Ariana Madix.
Bonded now by the trauma of living with a man who shaves his forehead Ariana and Kristen have a closeness no one can break and Kristen is riding for Ari ahead of Season 11. Recently the new trailer was released and Ariana’s co-star Lala Kent seemingly had some thoughts on her rise to fame after tragedy.
While Lala also suffered a romantic break-up, she didn’t receive the same accolades as Ariana. She said a comment in the teaser was taken out of context, but Doute isn’t too sure. Kristen spoke about it on an episode of her podcast, Sex, Love, and What Else Matters.
Kristen puts herself directly in front of Lala’s potential wrath
Lala maintains she supports women, but her actions make that claim questionable. Thankfully she’s not going after Rachel Leviss currently, but she might have gone after Ariana while filming Season 11. In the video clip, Lala is seen saying, “I have never experienced someone who gets cheated on and suddenly, she becomes a god.”
Once fans started to clock Ocean’s mom, she came out defending herself by saying it “was definitely taken out of context.” It looks like we weren’t the only ones giving that a “sure, Jan” because Kristen is calling her on it.
“My opinion on that, again, guys, I don’t know. Won’t know until we watch it. I do think [Kent is] talking about Ariana, I do think she meant it in the moment,” she said. I guess everything is fine and dandy when one can do an Uber commercial with Ariana, but when she takes other opportunities, she’s “a god.”
Kristen went on to add she “think[s] a lot of people did feel that way” about the Ariana situation, including Stassi Schroeder. “I think even [Lala] and Stassi said it publicly that, when they were cheated on and they were treated badly, they weren’t getting all the opportunities that Ariana had gotten.”
She also noted no one was throwing sponsorships her way when Tom Sandoval cheated on her back in the day. That said, she doesn’t appear bitter at all. She’s “proud of everything [Ariana has] accomplished.
“If it’s true, it’s pretty f-d up”
“If that what was being said [by Lala], I think it’s a pretty f**** up thing to say out of jealousy. But maybe that’s not what was being said,” Kristen continued.
Lala addressed the jealousy concerns earlier this month and confirmed she’s “so happy for [her] friend Ariana.” “I have always been a fan of hers. I think that that shows through the years. Have we had our ups and downs? Absolutely. But to see my friend thrive after such heartbreak, I am so happy for her. And I am so proud of her,” Lala shared.
