While I think we can all understand Savannah Chrisley and her family have faced a trying year, it was also 100% avoidable. The Chrisley Knows Best alum is now basically serving as a mouthpiece for her incarcerated father and it’s not going well.
Todd Chrisley has been ensconced in a Florida prison since January and he isn’t exactly settling in. Both Todd and Julie Chrisley have maintained their innocence and are expecting to verbally appeal their conviction in 2024. But first, Todd is trying to overhaul the Florida prison system by complaining a lot. Now Sassy implies her dad is being relocated because he’s a pain in the butt. Allegedly.
Will Todd have a change of scenery?
In a lengthy Instagram post, Savannah shared a three-page letter from “Concerned Federal Prison Camp (FPC) Staff.” Dated December 26, 2023, and addressed to Savannah, the communication detailed how awful the prison warden ALLEGEDLY is and echoed Todd’s inhumane conditions sentiment.
She captioned the post, “RETALIATION AGAINST MY FATHER. I hope that Deputy Director Lothrop is a man of his word when he said there would be no retaliation. . . How ironic that the Warden is trying to ship my Dad (after the @newsnationnow interview with @chrisccuomo and @brianentin ) and Jackson (after his retaliation letter to Congress) claiming that they’re “inciting a riot” and a risk to “Institutional Safety” GET REAL! The corruption just won’t stop!”
The “retaliation” in question is the potential of moving Todd to another facility so he stops talking about dead cats seemingly falling from the ceiling and people taking photographs of him while he sleeps. Allegedly.
According to the letter, Deputy Director Lothrop advised the current warden to “do whatever is necessary” to stop unsavory tidbits about prison life from leaking to those of us who are not in jail. The letter further encourages Savannah to keep “sharing the truth.”
No one will dispute there are things that need to be addressed or reformed within our prison and justice system. But the Chrisley family didn’t give a flying flip about either until Mom and Dad were criminals.
Unfortunately for Sassy, the majority of comments left on her post were not in support of her plight. Most followers appear to be exhausted from constant denial and want the family to serve the time and move on.
