Southern Charm: Craig Conover Denies Drinking Alcohol While Driving

On a recent Southern Charm episode, Craig Conover and his girlfriend Paige DeSorbo were shown driving to dinner at Madison LeCroy and Brett Randle’s home. After getting out of the car, Craig took one last swig of the can he’d been drinking on the drive over.

Paige encouraged him to leave his drink in the car, but a Bravo viewer later questioned the contents of the can. Believing it to be a beer can, the viewer commented, “They lost me at drinking and driving.”

Craig, however, was quick to point out that he wasn’t drinking alcohol while driving. “It’s Budweiser Zero,” he responded, which is alcohol-free. “I always have a cooler packed with some in my car. Not sure why they cut that detail.”

Craig wasn’t drinking and driving, but does question his future with Paige

Later in the same episode, Craig wondered if he and Paige will actually end up together. Though he’s been talking about getting engaged, Paige just isn’t ready to leave her life in New York. The Sewing Down South founder confessed that he didn’t mind taking their time before moving forward, even admitting that he wouldn’t “freak out” if they ended up splitting in the end.

“It’s not the end of the world if we don’t end up together,” Craig said. “I believe that I’ve become a stable person with or without you, and I know that you got me there, but I really feel stable in myself to the point where, like, I could let you go. I would be really sad, but I wouldn’t freak out, if that makes sense.”

Later in the episode, Craig told producers that he sometimes wishes he and Paige could be “on the same timeline” in regards to their future. Craig’s 34 and feels ready for a wife and babies. But at 31, Paige isn’t ready to give up her fashion career and move to Charleston.

“I’m so appreciative that I have someone that I get along with and that I love,” Craig shared in a confessional. “All that matters is that I’m happy, and she’s supportive of me. Technically, until we have children, it doesn’t matter where we live.”

“Honestly, … I’m not trying to throw shade,” Craig told Andy Cohen in September on Watch What Happens Live. “But there’s a lot of couples on Bravo that we are … trying to [not] end up like. We want it to work. Like, sustainable growth. Two years is still not that long. But we are in a really good place.”

Southern Charm airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
