Savannah Chrisley is suffering this holiday season and she wants you to know it. While Sassy has plenty to eat and her family enjoys good health, she couldn’t fully appreciate Christmas 2023 because Mom and Dad are in the slammer.
Todd Chrisley and his wife Julie spent the first of many holiday celebrations behind bars. Motivated by greed and always wanting more, the couple were mutually sentenced to prison earlier this year for tax evasion and defrauding banks out of over $30 million in crooked loans. The holidays hit hard this year and Sav shared her misery on Instagram – as one does.
There’s no chimney for Santa in prison
On Christmas Eve, the Chrisley Knows Best alum took to her Instagram Story and aired her gloom out to her followers. She’s just not feeling very festive with her parents in jail, which is valid. However, it would be helpful if someone in the family could acknowledge years of wrongdoing instead of holding the criminal justice system accountable for Todd and Julie’s crimes.
It’s been a long year for the Chrisley family. Todd and Julie left the scene in January, but obviously, the first Christmas incarcerated was going to be rough. In her video, Savannah said, “Merry Christmas Eve guys. I just want to jump on here and say that just because it’s the holidays doesn’t mean you have to be all joyous and happy if you’re not feeling it. I feel you.”
Poor Sav had to agonize without her folks on Thanksgiving in Turks and Caicos this year, bless her heart. Apparently, she decided to hang around for Santa’s big day. She’s trying to keep certain traditions familiar by recreating “my mom’s Christmas lunch.”
Sassy added, “Do what makes you feel okay. What makes you feel best because I’m with you. I feel you it’s not the happiest time for me.” In a separate post, Savannah appeared to invite the lonely masses to join her despair. “We’re just gonna eat and make fun drinks about a fire. I want my house to be the place that everyone can come that doesn’t have anywhere to go.”
No word on what Santa gifted Todd and Julie for Christmas, but they were on the naughty list.
