Fans of the Real Housewives of Potomac are currently watching a tragedy unfold as Robyn Dixon has been forced to resort to tears to get the women off her back. A recent episode showed some of the women questioning Robyn’s stories and blind loyalty to her husband, Juan Dixon. The former pro-NBA player has a history of cheating. After new gossip emerged, fans and Robyn’s RHOP castmates want to know the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
Why Is Robyn Disliked?
Now, I don’t necessarily subscribe to the “We Hate Robyn” club. However, a lot of RHOP fans have named Robyn one of the most unfavored cast members on the Bravo network. Due to Robyn keeping her cards close to her chest, she is often viewed as dishonest, a bully, and a puppet for her friend, Gizelle Bryant. Sadly, the two share a bond due to both of their husbands cheating on them while they were married.
Robyn Needs To Get off the Merry Go Round
Sadly, many viewers have lost respect for the mother of two because she seems to be stuck in a seriously toxic marriage with a man who regularly cheats on her. Juan also has a tendency to disrespect Robyn even though she has been loyal to him despite his philandering ways. There have been more times than fans can count when Juan has exploded on his already stressed-out wife. A recent episode showed Robyn looking for comfort only to be greeted with gaslighting and harsh words.
Since 2016, viewers have seen glimpses of Juan’s true intentions, and quite frankly, he seems to act ill-disposed to his wife. If we are being honest, Juan actively dislikes his wife with almost as much passion as he claims to love his mistress. Juan’s mistress even claimed Juan told her his marriage was just for a paycheck. So what is it, Robyn? Do you have a husband or a best friend?
Robyn Green Lights the Disrespect
Even though Robyn stated to the girls that she is ready to be held accountable, the Real Housewives of Potomac star is very much an active and willing participant when it comes to sabotaging her own morals and dignity.
Fans were already livid that Robyn hid Juan’s infidelities from cameras, but by mindlessly standing behind him, she just made herself look like a clown. No one was a fan of the fact that she shut down her emotions on the show only to put them on full display when it came to her podcast.
Robyn Is in Too Deep
The whole point of the Real Housewives is to show a sense of community, yet Robyn refuses to take any sort of advice from her friends. Multiple theories have been developed regarding Juan and Robyn, including the idea that they might have an agreement. While I don’t think Robyn is into an open relationship, I do believe that their love never moved into a romantic place. Season 1 showed them cohabitating for the sake of their bills and children. It worked for them, but somewhere along the way, the line got blurry.
Juan genuinely appears pained by the whole process of filming. It seems more likely that the duo has an agreement not to embarrass one another. However, Juan has failed miserably, leaving Robyn to clean up the mess. Sadly, some stuff just doesn’t add up, like when Robyn told the group Juans clears out his phone history because “he’s weird.” Robyn could possibly be the “dizziest bit*h” in the series.
Juan’s Bad Attitude Has Changed Robyn
Perhaps one of the worst things about Robyn that has caused fans to lose respect for her is how much Juan has impacted her stance with the rest of the ladies. The college basketball coach’s emotional outbursts have put a target on Robyn, and there is nothing she can do about it except maybe admit all his wrongdoings. Frankly, it is hard to watch Robyn debase herself due to her husband’s ability to lie.
Robyn has stood firm in her conviction to defend her husband, noting in a recent episode, “Seeing him go through this with no plan, that really hurts my heart for my husband. I don’t appreciate the assumptions that are being made. This is just such a sensitive and emotional situation for us.”
Sadly, Juan has yet to return the favor and defend his wife. The best example of this was when Robyn was fighting a battle with depression. Instead of helping his wife, he told her she was “lazy” and ugly. We would all love to see Robyn get a backbone, but it doesn’t look like she will grow one anytime soon.
