While OG cast members of The Real Housewives of New York celebrated reuniting for RHONY Legacy, some folks wondered how Ramona scored an invite. She was abruptly dismissed from BravoCon after being racially insensitive again, so why would Bravo want her to taint their special occasion? Spoiler alert, they didn’t and Page Six has the scoop.

Picture it, Season 13 of Real Housewives of New York. Ramona uses the N-word with a Black producer. RHONY magically disappears and we have no reunion, no closure. Then, like a thief in the night at Dorit Kemsley’s house, our OG RHONY was stolen from us. Thankfully Bravo took pity on the fans and tried to quell our shouts of dismay by giving us Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy.
They returned to Scary Island. Kelly Killoren Bensimon volunteered to go back into the wilderness with the likes of Sonja Morgan and Luann de Lesseps. By all accounts, the season went well until Ramona once again showed she had no idea how to conduct herself with others.
Prior to BravoCon in October, Mona wrote a racially insensitive text to a Page Six journalist. She’s fired from her high-end real estate job. BravoCon says buh-bye to Our Lady of MicroAgressions. People assumed she was basically done at Bravo – until the other night. Of course, she’s going to show up to an event supporting the debut of the show even though she wasn’t invited. How dare you think otherwise?
If you thought the ladies looked surprised in press pics, it’s because they were. Ramona was not supposed to be there, but rules don’t apply unless they are enforced. Allegedly Ramona was to be located at a safe distance away in Florida, but that was not the case.
Ramona’s way or no way
Either her plans changed or she was dropped from another guest list so she decided to offload any remaining decency and decorum and show up to the RHONY Legacy festivities. An insider said, “She wasn’t invited, came anyway, didn’t stay long.” When you are almost 70 years old and crashing parties, it may be time to reevaluate your lifestyle.
Another source added Ramona “called the day before” to say she would be in town and could attend. “She wasn’t so much invited as she just decided to show up,” the insider continued. Apparently, she was only there for about ten minutes – just long enough to look foolish on the red carpet and give herself the illusion she was still relevant.
