At this point, what more is there to say about Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky beyond speculation? Well, as it turns out, Kyle has been doing some speculating herself. And it involves the D word.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills couple shocked the nation when news of their separation became public. At first, the couple did not describe the situation as a complete split. As time passed, however, it became clear they were simply doing damage control.
However, the two have been adamant that they are not divorced or in the process of divorcing. At BravoCon 2023, when Kyle used the word “divorce” to describe their status, she was quick to correct herself. Of course, that doesn’t mean divorce is off the table.
Kyle confirms divorce “has not come up yet” in chats with Mauricio
Kyle spoke with The Messenger during a RHOBH “Room Service” watch party, discussing the show and her life. She touched on her use of the word “divorce” earlier this year, saying, “I just bumped into somebody in the lobby at the Peninsula [Hotel], and they said, ‘It must be hard with a separation and divorce.’ I said, ‘Not divorced.’”
Of course, later, Kyle would accidentally use the word “divorce.” She explained, “The reason I flipped that day is I had to correct two people on the carpet. And I must have heard it in my head, and then I said it, like a slip. In this business, you can’t afford to have a little slip-up for everybody.”
She did, however, confirm that divorce was possible, though the couple hasn’t “spoken about” it.
“No, that has not come up yet. Obviously, we know that it is potentially something that could happen with us. We just haven’t gone that route yet.” For her part, Kyle is still ultimately focused on keeping the family free of turmoil.
