Bethenny Frankel will have a cup of oops with two pours of whoops and a shot of I effed up. It looks like the Real Housewives of New York alum is feeling some type of way about her former boss and this is a nice lesson on how Karma works.
Bethenny has spent the better part of a year trying to take down Bravo, Andy Cohen, and created the “reality television reckoning” movement. It had some legs during the SAG-AFTRA strike, but now that people are returning to work, no one cares about Beth’s tantrum.
After things have settled down and it looks like she did not in fact destroy unscripted programming, Bethenny might be having feelings of remorse. Or she’s realized how royally she messed up. That said, Beth will do anything but admit defeat. She talked about seeing Andy at a holiday party on a recent episode of her podcast, Just B with Bethenny Frankel.
Is she ready to kiss and make up?
Since Bethenny isn’t currently looking at a brand new empire to raise from the rubble of reality television, she may or may not be laying the groundwork to try and fix her friendship with Andy. While Andy Cohen is a lot of things, he is no dummy.
iHeartRadio had its Jingle Ball concert the other night and both Andy and Bethy were on the guest list. She had some feelings about seeing her old buddy from afar. “I see Andy Cohen in the distance in a flannel talking to some guys, just like drinking a beer, I think … And … it’s too soon, you know for both of us I’m sure,” she began.
Um, I’m gonna have to say Andy isn’t checking for Bethenny and “too soon” to Beth is “never” for Andy. “But it’s like I know that we both have fond memories and it’s confusing all around,” she added. It’s not that confusing. Someone got mad when a pitched show didn’t fly and turned it into a one-sided takedown.
Beth is feeling all warm and fuzzy inside …
Thankfully Bethenny was enough in her right mind to not approach Andy when he was minding his own business and trying to have fun. “And I’m sure it’s confusing for him,” she continued. I’m sure it’s not. I doubt Beth registers high enough on his list to be concerned about her at all – and it’s driving her insane.
Then she went through the trouble of saying she’s made it “fairly clear” she has “no personal vendetta” against Andy. Unless of course, you count the months she spent maligning both his name and his network.
Seeing him around the holidays made Beth all warm and fuzzy inside – allegedly. Ladies and gentlemen, this is what regret looks like. “It’s the holidays and feeling sentimental. There’s no reason to, like, burn everything down to the ground,” Ma’am you did that already. Move on.
And then her last shred of dignity flies out the window. “It’s not like I don’t find Andy very pleasant, very charming, very amusing, and [I] have, like, fond memories,” Bethenny shared. I hope she holds on to those memories.
