Loving that for him! Lisa Barlow was celebrating her son Jack Barlow’s relocation to Colombia on social media this week. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star announced the momentous occasion by tweeting a picture of Jack on location of his Mormon mission.
Naturally, critics had to have their say. But the “bulldog” mom of two fired off some comebacks and set the record straight on why there was a delay in Jack’s departure.

Lisa had to respond to a lot of negative rumors about Jack Barlow’s Colombia mission
“Jack Barlow is in Colombia,” the Vida Tequila founder tweeted on December 5. Jack is looking fresh faced and relaxed on a commercial street in Bogota, Colombia. He’s wearing a black t-shirt and the frosted tips are noticeably gone. A development that Lisa couldn’t help but celebrate.
“Amen to that,” Lisa joked on her social media page.
The RHOSLC star received an outpouring of support from fans who commended Jack on his decision. One follower hoped that Jack is “enjoying” his time in South America. Lisa responded, “So happy loves Colombia.”
Of course, it wouldn’t be a social media post without negative commentary. A post read, “This need to prove he’s there is a weird hill to die on but OK.” To which Lisa responded, “I have no idea what you mean.”
Indeed, there were rumors that Jack had backed out of going to Colombia after being spotted at a TJ Maxx in California. He was wearing a missionary name badge at the time, so some speculated as to whether he had been able to change assignments to stay closer to home. Or rather, that Lisa had meddled in the whole thing.
“His VISA was delayed,” she tweeted in November in response to the accusations.
Now that Jack is proved on location, perhaps Lisa can focus on the positive aspects of her son’s decision to serve the Mormon Church (2.0).
