Tom Sandoval Still Refusing To Take Accountability: ‘Rachel Leviss Made the First Move’

With everything that’s happened on Vanderpump Rules since Scandoval, there’s one question that might be worth considering: Can Tom Sandoval ever reclaim his image, or is he doomed from here on out?

Rachel Leviss, despite all her flaws, has at least moved in the right direction. She cut off ties with Tom, VPR, and Bravo. In reality, where else was she supposed to go? For all the deflecting and deceiving she did, at least she realized she could no longer have a future on the show.

Tom, on the other hand, is trying to go on as if nothing happened. In classic Tom fashion, he’s taken to painting himself as the victim multiple times. If Tom truly wants to move forward, fans expect him to take accountability. Instead, he’s throwing Rachel under the bus once again.

Tom criticizes Rachel with zero introspection

Tom recently appeared on the Two Ts In A Pod where he discussed various scattered thoughts about Rachel. In the least self-aware fashion, he criticized her for blaming others. “I just think it’s a really bad look on her part to keep pushing blame on everybody else,” he said.

“She’s a 29-year-old woman, do you know what I mean? She’s not 16. People seem to think she’s like … I don’t know.” As for the relationship they had, he said, “I hope she did [love me], I don’t know.” He then tried to paint himself as a hero who was there for Rachel when no one else was.

“The way she’s just shooed me away … I don’t know, I’m not in her head. I think a lot of people that are in her life were not in her life during this whole period of time.” Tom went on to blame the affair on his self-esteem issues and Rachel’s lack thereof. “She came into her own and she got this confidence, and she went too far and got herself into a position.”

He added, “She didn’t have to come onto a guy in a relationship like she did. She came onto a guy in a relationship that was severely, you know, I was depressed, I had no confidence, such low self-value … she made the first move.”

Vanderpump Rules Season 11 airs on Bravo in January 2024.
