The Real Housewives of New Jersey newbie Danielle Cabral is unhappy with people using Ozempic for weight loss. It’s not a secret that many Bravolebs and other celebrities have been poking themselves with the type-2 diabetic drug that suppresses one’s appetite. Consequently, stars appear snatched (as if they didn’t look great before) and are glowing with happiness.
The downside to the Ozempic use, though, is that there’s a shortage of the drug for those who need it. That’s why Danielle has such a problem.
“I was with somebody today, a very dear friend of mine, who actually needs [Ozempic] for medical reasons, and cannot get it because of this stupid, bullsh*t behavior,” Danielle told Page Six. “But she can’t get it, she can’t get it,” she continued.
RHONJ’s Danielle Cabral criticizes those who use Ozempic for weight loss
Also in the interview room with Page Six and Danielle was RHONJ’s recurring cast member, Jen Fessler — who has been open about losing more than 20 pounds thanks to Ozempic. When Fessler tried to jump in, Danielle cut her off, saying, “Run on a f*cking treadmill.”
Talk about awkward! Danielle quickly backpedaled, which I’m sure we’ll see a lot of this coming season, and said, “Not you, Jenn. Sorry.”
Whew — Danielle, talk about a flip-flopper. Luckily, Jenn was gracious enough to let her slide and took a moment to share her fitness journey.
“I mean, I’ve been running on a treadmill for 55 years. So, I’ve been trying. I’ve been tortured,” Jenn explained, adding that her relationship with food has been a “mind f*ck.”
Like many others, Ozempic for Fessler was a tool that helped jumpstart her healthy lifestyle. Before it, she admitted, “I was a raging bulimic” who had an “excruciatingly painful” time around food.
Jenn isn’t the only Jersey Housewife using Ozempic to achieve their weight loss goals. Dolores Catania was among the first to confess, followed by Margaret Josephs and Housewives from other franchises, including Heather Gay and Emily Simpson.
There’s a strong possibility more of this will play out in the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Season 14 debuts on Bravo at some point in 2024.
