The name on everyone’s lips is Ariana Madix. And soon, the name on everyone’s lips will be Ariana Madix as Roxie Hart. After an incredible run on Dancing with the Stars, it’s been revealed that Ariana will be stepping into the shoes of the iconic Chicago role on Broadway for a limited eight-week run. Her debut takes place in January 2024, and Ariana can’t wait to get started.
Dreams really do come true
Announcing the news on Live with Kelly and Mark today (December 6, 2023), Ariana said: “It’s just the biggest dream come true. I cannot believe this is real life. I’m going to cry.”
While you probably know her best for her time on Vanderpump Rules, Ariana actually has a past in musical theater. She studied the art at Flagler College, before moving to New York City after graduation. Unfortunately, she didn’t make it at the time, and moved to Los Angeles before finding fame on Bravo. So, this is a real full-circle moment.
Ariana follows in the footsteps of other Bravo stars who have appeared in the show. They include Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars Erika Jayne and Lisa Rinna, as well as Kandi Burruss and NeNe Leakes from The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
While the start of 2023 wasn’t the best for Ariana, what with her relationship of nine years alongside Tom Sandoval grinding to a halt because he had been cheating with Rachel Leviss, she’s certainly seeing out the 12 months on a high. She finished third on DWTS, released a new cocktail book, and is undoubtedly feeling booked and blessed. Now let’s just hope that her sandwich shop with Katie Maloney, Something About Her, can open successfully!
