Scheana Shay has been doing herself no favors in the press as of late. From associating with the more reprehensible members of the Vanderpump Rules cast, to rumors that she only took pictures with fans who bought her album at BravoCon 2023.
Now, Scheana has found herself in hot water with Lindsay Hubbard. The Summer House star was supposed to get married to Carl Radke in Mexico on November 17. Two months before the big day, Carl called off the engagement.
That didn’t stop Scheana from heading to Mexico anyway, and not just on her own, but with the likes of Carl’s mom. To add insult to injury, Scheana was reportedly taking shots at Lindsay. Scheana got a jump on the story, explaining her side of things.
What did Scheana say about Lindsay?
On the December 1 episode of her podcast, Scheana revealed that Lindsay had reached out to her during the Mexico trip. “I think it was the second day I was there,” Scheana explained, “and I get a text from Lindsay, and I guess I had made a comment when we were in the pool one day.” According to Scheana’s account, there was no trashing whatsoever.
“I’m like, there’s no way it’s five people because I made one comment and it was a joke about our BravoCon segment where we had to ‘Squash the Beef,’” she further told her listeners. “But I guess whoever heard me say that took it a different way and made it sound like I was trashing her and I was being really negative.”
Scheana concluded her thoughts on the matter by saying, “I was, like, ‘No. That is not how I said it. That’s not how it was meant.’ It was literally a lighthearted comment and that was it. She did not respond after I explained it.” Until Lindsay or Scheana provide evidence, this is all just hearsay. But Scheana’s unwillingness to repeat what her comment was? That’s rather telling.
Vanderpump Rules Season 11 hits Bravo in January 2024 while Summer House Season 8 is expected to hit Bravo in early 2024.
