The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills viewers will know that stars Kim Richards and Kyle Richards have periods when they don’t speak to each other. As any sisters, they may have conflict in their relationship, but ultimately reunite at times that they need each others support.
After months of not speaking with the RHOBH alum, Kyle reunited with Kim at their sister Kathy Hilton’s Christmas party last Tuesday. There, she opened up about the struggles they’ve still been facing in their friendship.
Kim called Kyle “at least once a week” with no response
The party was in partnership with DIRECTV where Kathy hosted the best in her social circle, plus a notable amount of Bravolebrities.
PEOPLE caught up with the sisters where they revealed that they had made up just in time for the holidays. It seems that Kim wanted to support her sister in the wake of Kyle’s separation from husband of 27 years, Mauricio Umansky, but lost contact.
“I don’t know anything about what’s going on with her. I didn’t talk to Kyle,” Kim explained. “She didn’t call me at all really, but I called her every day or at least once a week and just said ‘I love you. I’m here for you.’ I was hurt because I’ve always been her go-to. When her friend Lorene died, I was the one she came to.”
Kathy jumped in to defend her sister’s self-imposed isolation. She stated that Kyle’s “been through a lot this year.”
“When I’m struggling, I keep to myself a lot. That’s how I kind of operate. I get quiet,” Kyle explained.
Kim jumped in to point out that her reality TV star sister, “didn’t used to be like that.”
“Well, I am now,” Kyle retorted.
Kyle also has a newfound enthusiasm for early morning workouts and tattoos. Perhaps a new coping mechanism was in order as well. Will Kim take the answer personally? It seems the sisters are going tit-for-tat despite having just reunited.
