It’s a new week and a new trial for Lisa Hochstein and her estranged husband, Lenny Hochstein. Real Housewives of Miami’s answer to Kim and Kroy Biermann are back at it and still seemingly have no care in the world how they look to people watching them. Especially their kids.
Nope, Lenny and Lisa are both firmly entrenched in the finer points of being petty. These two act like they care about the children but continue using them as photo ops to make a point. The insults have been long and drawn out but recently Lisa accused Lenny of domestic violence. After denying Lisa’s claims, now Lenny is fighting back – in court. Us Weekly has the details.
A defamation suit has entered the chat
While it’s clear Lisa likes Lenny’s money, accusing him of DV might put a crimp in his wallet if he loses patients. Someone in his field has to tread very carefully when accusations of alleged violence start coming out. In Lenny’s case, he’s taking the ex to court.
On December 1, Lenny filed a civil suit against the RHOM star and wants damages and attorneys’ fees up to $100k. This comes right after Lisa hopped on her Instagram and shared photos of a bruise on her arm purportedly inflicted by Lenny.
She wrote, “Didn’t want to have to share this, but I’m left with no choice. I’m being harassed through the court system and through ‘others’ by Lenny and it needs to stop.” She added details about the arm bruise, “This was almost two weeks old from last season. You may have caught this bruise on the episode when I opened up to the women on the show about the divorce.”
Lenny’s response
Lenny’s statement negates her claim and says she had a wobbly moment on the stairs. “It came about because [Lisa] as usual was yelling at and berating [Lenny] when he came home from work, as she did almost daily telling him how he never does anything right, so [Lenny] attempted to walk away and started walking up the stairs and [Lisa] walked in front of [him] going backwards up the stairs so she could continue yelling in [his] face and [she] lost her balance and fell on a stair.”
The court filing continued, “[Lisa’s] lies of abuse are not a surprise to [Lenny] as [Lisa] stated publicly that she needs to retaliate against [her ex] for what [Lisa] claims is harassment.” And they’re basically calling Lisa a bad liar. “Yet [Lenny] is not harassing [Lisa] but rather presenting the truth which [Lisa] does not like.”
Lenny further feels Lisa is the one who was unfaithful in their marriage first and calls her, “the real ‘homewrecker’ of Miami.” His defamation case is currently pending but knowing Kim and Kroy Lenny and Lisa, more will be out by close of business today.
