Kyle Richards Reveals if Thanksgiving With Estranged Husband Mauricio Umansky Was a Success

When it comes to separation and divorce, things rarely go smoothly. The shocking split between Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky is no different. Despite possible ill will, the two have been working overtime in the press to portray everything being hunky dory.

So how are things really going? Unclear. But the longtime Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star took to the red carpet to share how their Thanksgiving holiday went. And it sounded like the whole thing was nothing short of amicable.

“We don’t argue”

Kyle revealed to Extra, “We get along, like, we don’t argue, so it was actually nice. We had our friends over, a couple friends, and our girls were there and, you know. And we all watch TV the next day and watch a movie together, so it’s nice to be able to have that.”

It’s nice that they spent the holiday together with their kids. But her comments sound pretty canned, even if what she’s saying is true. Additionally, Kyle’s statement comes on the heels of her sister Kathy Hilton publicly addressing the split.

On an episode of Today, Kathy was confident that Kyle and Mauricio would not be getting back together. Kyle shot down the assertion, saying, “Here’s the thing, the truth is, my sisters have been very supportive by offering their support, texting me, calling me, but I haven’t shared with my sisters anything about really what’s going on in my marriage, to be honest.” Oop!

Looking ahead

Regardless of everyone else’s thoughts on the matter, Kyle is determined to handle the split with grace. “I never expected to be in this position in a million years, you know, that — and obviously it’s not ideal — but I feel proud of the way we are navigating through this difficult time,” she noted.

Finally, the RHOBH veteran got candid about what she wants moving forward. “I just want to get to a place of being at peace and being able to tune out the noise and the chatter, and right now I’m just focusing on making sure my kids are happy and our family is still a family and happy so, you know, I want to go into 2024 as healthy mentally and physically as I can be so that I’m strong and can be a good mom and a good friend and also be good to myself, too,” she concluded.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
