Advice from one reality star to another. Ashley Darby has experienced a marital breakup in the public eye. Similarly, she dealt with rumors about her ex-husband Michael Darby’s infidelity for years and often went to bat to defend him and their marriage.
So Kyle Richards finds herself in a similar situation. She and Mauricio Umansky split up after 27 years of marriage. And the current season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has given some clues as to what happened.
Among others things, Kyle is on a journey of self-actualization. She gave up drinking, and completely transformed her body and lifestyle with a strict workout regime. Ashley has stepped in to give her advice to her fellow Real Housewives star. And she applauds the mother of four for her transparency and authenticity to herself.
Ashley thinks Kyle “will make it through”
Ashley spoke with Us Weekly earlier this month to give her feedback on Kyle and Mauricio’s situation. It comes on the heels of her own journey on Real Housewives of Potomac. She’s a homeowner, and raising her two boys in a beachy chic paradise.
“I think that ultimately Kyle will be more inspirational by being true to herself. And as cliché as it sounds — it sounds so cliché when I say it aloud, but I’m living it and I’m feeling it. And I’m inspired more when people are open and forthcoming,” Ashley stated.
The reality TV star commended both parties of the RHOBH series for their transparency, given the interest of their fan base. It’s worth noting that this could be a dig at Ashley’s RHOP co-star Robyn Dixon, who has kept her husband, Juan Dixon’s, assumed infidelity under wraps.
“When I know that there are things going on behind closed doors that are not shown, and because I want to respect that, it makes me sad that I feel like they are not living who they truly are. It’s not very inspiring,” Ashley continued.
‘I appreciate that she and Mauricio are not shying away from it,” she added.
Ultimately, Ashley thinks that Kyle “will make it through” her current situation with Mauricio.
