Sister Wives star Kody Brown thinks his ex-wife Janelle Brown only ever wanted him for his “hot body.” First of all, ew. Second of all, I can’t stop laughing at this ridiculous man’s audacity.
On November 26 in the Sister Wives: One-on-One Special, Kody talked about Janelle’s attraction to his (gag) hot body. I physically shuddered writing that. “I got nice pecs and a great six-pack,” he claims, “but that’s all she’s interested in … Janelle has always seen me as a physical specimen and as a resource and not ever really dove into my humanity.”
Janelle’s first response was hysterical laughter. “I really felt like our relationship was very, very good,” Janelle told Us Weekly. “My perspective on what happened is so … different than what he thinks. And I think in some regards, he’s flying from the hip right now. He’s just saying what’s in his mind. But it was so much more than that. Obviously. There was way more to [our] marriage.”
More than just physical attraction
There have been times when Janelle’s attraction to Kody was played up, as when she’d growl seductively whenever he’d wear his crazy hair pulled back in a ponytail. It was no secret among the other wives that Janelle found that look particularly sexy. But she and Kody always seemed like a team to me, trying to work together for the greater good of their children and their extended family.
“We have six children, and they are beautiful,” the online health coach continued. “Up until the last few years, they had amazing relationships with their dad … I’m not quite sure where that sentiment comes from, but it’s actually kind of funny.”
Janelle became Kody’s second wife when they “spiritually wed” in 1993. But following a blowout fight with Kody just before Christmas 2021 where the phrase “f*ck you” was thrown on both sides, their relationship never recovered. She announced a year later that she and Kody had been “separated for several months” after nearly 30 years together.
Denying he ever really loved Janelle
Now that three of his four wives have left, Kody is saying that he never really loved first wife Meri Brown, Janelle or Christine. He was only “acting” as though he was in love with his three exes and only ever really loved Robyn Brown, his fourth and only remaining wife. But Janelle’s not buying it.
“I do think things changed when Robin came,” she admitted, “but I don’t feel like he was pretending or acting … We were building this family together. I think now he wants to brush it all off, but I don’t necessarily agree with his perspective.”
