When Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky announced their separation, fans were stunned. After all, the duo had been going strong for 27 years.
Mauricio ditched BravoCon 2023 allegedly to spend time with Emma Slater, his Dancing with the Stars partner. Kyle was bombarded with questions about the state of their marriage.
Recently, Kyle revealed that her sobriety hurt the couple’s union. She preferred to stay home rather than go out to parties with Mauricio. Socializing was part of his job. Kyle explained her feelings in a confessional scene on RHOBH. “I think with the way my relationship is right now, I’m not happy. I’m sort of now working on myself inside, and I feel like he’s very focused on his work,” Kyle stated.
RHOBH Season 13 isn’t must-see TV for Mauricio
Mauricio was recently a guest on The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast. He shared that he isn’t watching Season 13 of RHOBH. Mauricio opted out of seeing the “dramatization” of his marital woes.
“I know that they’re dramatizing everything. There’s a bunch of stuff that I don’t really want to see because it will just create more noise for me and more opinions,” Mauricio stated.
“People that watch that show are all opinionated and they just don’t realize it,” he continued. “There are two humans on the other side of your opinion. That’s really, really difficult.” But, you also can’t invite cameras into your life for 13 seasons and expect viewers not to be invested.
Instead of watching RHOBH or reading articles about their separation, Mauricio prefers to meditate. I thought he would say he prefers to dance.
If both Kyle and Mauricio want their privacy to cope with their marital issues, maybe they shouldn’t continue on the show. As long as they are on reality TV, people will speculate about their relationship.
