Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Denise Richards turned in her diamond after only two seasons. This “ragamuffin” had enough after her longtime friend, Lisa Rinna, grilled Denise about an alleged affair with Brandi Glanville. Denise denied the claims.
In 2021, Rinna took responsibility for how she treated Denise. Finally. “I don’t like my behavior and how I treated her,” Rinna stated. “I was mean and I was cruel.”
Denise doesn’t understand what Rinna was thinking during RHOBH Season 10
Denise was a guest on the podcast, Just B with Bethenny Frankel. She discussed what happened to her friendship with Rinna.
“My experience with Lisa Rinna was so bad that I thought, ‘OK, what would happen next season?’ I did have a sh*tty experience. … It wasn’t good with Lisa Rinna and it was sad to me,” Denise explained.
“I had a 20-year friendship with her, and to see how she could sacrifice a friendship of 20 years for a show that isn’t gonna last forever — obviously, she isn’t on it anymore — like, at what cost?” she added.
Denise believed that if she didn’t join RHOBH, she would still be friends with Rinna. That is probably true. “I think that you learn a lot about people when you live with them, travel, or work with them,” Denise stated. “I had never worked with Rinna before.” And what a joyful experience it was.
But now that Rinna has exited the show, Denise would be open to returning. She did film some scenes for Season 13 of RHOBH. Denise said, “We’ll see whatever happens. I don’t know if they’ll ask me back, I just did a few episodes. I didn’t call to say, ‘Hey, can I come back?'”
She continued, “After my second season, I also — because I wanted it to be real — thought, ‘How would this make sense if all the women f*cking hate me?’ Almost everyone did, except for Garcelle [Beauvais] and Sutton [Stracke], but everyone else was such an asshole to me,” Denise added. I guess that she is talking about Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, and Dorit Kemsley. Hello, members of Fox Force Five.
Denise filmed several scenes as a guest on Season 13. “It’s been fun,” Denise said. “And you know, I’m a big fan of the show, so it was fun to go back and film a lot of stuff with them.”
