Two very interesting things that Southern Charm fans learned about Craig Conover during recent episodes is that the Sewing Down South founder doesn’t believe pandas are real. He also claimed to have a biological clock that was ticking away.
Of course, fans of Southern Charm or Summer House will know that Craig has been dating Paige DeSorbo since summer of 2021. And he is keen on having her move in with him in his house in Charleston. Paige is based in NYC, and has been reluctant to leave her career, friends, and family.
In the most recent episode of Southern Charm, Craig confessed that starting a family is feeling like more and more of a priority. His younger girlfriend is happy to kick that proverbial can down the road another five years. So what is a Southern boy to do?
Craig feels like he and Paige are “spinning in circles”
“I’m sitting around waiting for her to decide if she’ll be ready to move in together,” Craig said on the most recent episode.
He told co-star Rodrigo Reyes while the group was fly-fishing at Shep Rose’s family house in North Carolina. “Me and Paige,” Craig continued. “We’ve been together for a while now. I know I am right now being like, ‘It’s time to sh*t or get off the pot.”
Craig added, ‘if it was up to [him],” he’d put a ring on it “by the end of the year.” Considering when Southern Charm Season 9 was filmed, that would put Craig’s timeline at the end of 2023. The clock is ticking.
“I want that story book life. I do want the white picket fence,” he said. Craig added: “I just want to make sure we continue to trend in that direction.”
“The future always consisted of a family with kids,” he continued. “What do I want more? Do I want to be with Paige and be patient to eventually have that family with her? Or do I want the family so bad that I’m going to leave the love of my life?”
What’s not in the cards is to “settle” and have children without a loving partner. So the question for Craig is whether to wait it out and take the gamble with Paige.
“It does feel like we’re spinning in circles a little bit,” Craig admitted.
During a confessional interview, the question of a male biological clocked emerged. Well certainly he is comparing himself tom someone else’s timeline.
“Paige is 30 and when we talk about this stuff, usually she’s like, ‘Well, I’ll have kids at 35.’ Five years from now, I’ll be 40. My biological clock is ticking,” Craig told producers.
In real time, the couple are still together and Craig has spoken of accepting the current situation as is.
