The Kardashians continue to stake Season 4 on Kim Kardashian’s single era, Khloe Kardashian’s personal turmoil, and Kris Jenner’s never-ending branding. The bulk of the episodes center around the three ladies, with other family members thrown into the mix. Without that trio, then the show would be even more of a snoozefest.
The latest episode continued to rely heavily on Kim, Khloe, and Kris’s antics. Kendall Jenner made a small, yet memorable, appearance that was as cringy as always. Here are five main takeaways from The Kardashians Season 4, Episode 7, titled: “A Short-Term Fight.”
Khloe isn’t playing nice
The episode picked up after Khloe confronted Kris about not being the best manager of her career. Despite feeling left out, Khloe was the only child to show up to a celebration dinner for another one of Kris’s business projects. Khloe might’ve been supportive, but she wasn’t done having the conversation with her momager — and she let her know it (in front of Kathy Hilton, no less).
“I want you to look around and see that not any of your other kids are here, but I am and the one that you mistreat the most,” Khloe told her mom point-blank. Kris shrugged it off, but Khloe should stand firm in demanding the same attention that Kris gives her favorites AKA Kim and Kylie Jenner.
Kim’s latest gig
Khloe also stood firm when Kim forgot to invite her on a whirlwind extravaganza to Las Vegas. Kim planned the trip as she was officiating the wedding between her hairdresser Chris Appleton and Lukas Gage. Despite forgetting flower girl Khloe (and not remembering until after the flight took off), Kim planned an amazing weekend.
The wedding started with a surprise intimate performance from Shania Twain, whom the couple loves. Then, Kim married the pair at the Little White Wedding Chapel, where she wed her first ex-husband 23 years prior. “I wonder if we can look up records here,” she joked. The night ended with an Usher concert, which made Khloe have even more FOMO than she did previously.
Before the romantic wedding weekend, Kim gave her friends Chris and Lukas some sound advice. To my surprise, she decided to quote her ex-husband Kanye West to deliver the message. “Wait you have to get a prenup,” Kim said “We want prenup, we want prenup.” Fair advice, just an interesting choice of words for Kimberly. She’s just a jokester, I guess.
Another lame ad from Kris
At Kris’ party at the beginning of the episode, she complained to Kathy and Paris Hilton about Khloe’s gripes about her management style. Paris took the opportunity in front of the cameras to say that it’s why people need her metaverse so they can make avatars and holograms to be in multiple places at once. Yes, my eyes glazed over during the scene, and it unfortunately put a horrible business idea in Kris’s head.
Kris decided to promote Howie Mandel and some hologram business by setting up massive screens in her house and Khloe’s so that they could communicate all the time. The huge monitors seemingly weren’t mobile, so both women would have to be in their NEIGHBORING HOMES to use them. Khloe didn’t seem to understand the concept, especially because her mom skipped out on a huge photoshoot for Khlo$ to set up the joke.
All in all, Khloe threw in the towel for now. “This definitely doesn’t solve the deeper issues between me and my mom but at this point, I don’t even care anymore,” Khloe said. Poor Khloe, always getting the short end of the stick.
Kendall becomes a mother
Kendall’s short and stupid scene involved her entering motherhood — sort of. Her horse had a baby, but Kendall slept through the birth if that shows you how seriously she’s taking the new role. Kris and Khloe were the only two who cared enough to stop by Kendall’s house to celebrate the birth. They brought a bouquet of carrots and a carrot cake. Again, these two women are carrying this immortal show.
Kendall showed that her kitchen skills truly were non-existent when she struggled to cut slices of cake for her family to eat. “Kenny, clearly the kitchen is not your safe space,” Kehoe said. “She’s not a good food cutter.”
Kim is all about Las Vegas
When Kim returned from Las Vegas with a hangover, Khloe put her through payback in the form of exercise. Khloe was particularly mad that Kim went to Usher after she and Kim’s girl group failed to see him a season ago. Khloe rounded up Kim’s friends to bully her into firing up the Kim Air jet to head back to Las Vegas for a redo. “Khloe is going to leave Hidden Hills whether she likes it or not,” Kim said.
Khloe and Kim lived their best lives. Kim was just happy that her sister actually left the house for once. They both got drunk on Jell-O shots (Kim’s drink of choice) and met Usher before jetting back to L.A. in time for Kim’s 1:30 a.m. spray tan appointment. “This is the time to be a slob kabob in Vegas,” Khloe said. Just another day in the life of the Kardashians.
