Did hell freeze over? It looks like the ultimate Jersey Shore reunion is finally about to happen. Finally, after over a decade, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro are reuniting with the MTV cameras rolling.
The Sun reported that fans spotted the entire Jersey Shore crew filming for the upcoming season of Jersey Shore Family Vacation. Lo’ and behold, to everyone’s surprise, the two exes were both mic’d up and sitting right across from each other at dinner. It’s truly shocking.
Stahp, this is really happening
Filming for Season 7 of Jersey Shore Family Vacation is underway, which is wild considering there were only six seasons of regular Jersey Shore. Either way, several fans shared videos of the entire crew boarding a party bus and venturing to dinner.
For the first time, all nine cast members filmed together, and it’s kind of mindblowing that this has never happened. No one’s in jail for tax evasion, hiding from the public eye, or dealing with domestic violence allegations. They’re all just hanging out and vibing like it’s 2010 again.
In the clips, you can see Ronnie, Sammi, and the rest of the “family” galivanting around the streets. At dinner, Ronnie and Sam sat right across from each other as if there wasn’t a bunch of toxic history between them. You’d think it would be a little awkward, but everyone seemed like they were all smiles. Perhaps this just goes to show how strong Sammi’s new relationship is with Justin May.
Hurry up, Season 7
The news of Ronnie and Sammi’s reunion comes after it has been highly teased in Season 6 of Jersey Shore Family Vacation. Once Sammi made her return to reality TV, everyone immediately started thinking about Ronnie. Would they or would they not have a reunion?
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi spilled the beans in an interview that a Ronnie and Sam reunion wasn’t happening in Season 6. She said that Ronnie would make a cameo in Season 6, but he didn’t film anything with Sammi. She also said there weren’t any plans for the exes to reunite on the show. Clearly, something changed since then because the cameras don’t lie. A Sammi and Ronnie reunion is coming, folks! We’ll just have to wait a little bit.
In the meantime, Season 6 of Jersey Shore Family Vacation airs on MTV, Thursday nights at 8/7c.
