Bravo fans have long surmised that Lala Kent from Vanderpump Rules and Captain Jason Chambers from Below Deck Down Under would be good for each other romantically. Therefore, viewers were thrilled when the two Bravolebs met up at BravoCon 2023 in Las Vegas and snapped some flirty pics and videos together.
Like other Bravo viewers, we were thrilled to see the two getting along, since we also think they would make a great pair. Let’s take a look of some of the top reasons why.
They’ve Both Been Involved in “The Right Side” of Other Cast Members’ Scandals
Fans praised Captain Jason in Below Deck Down Under Season 2 when he fired bosun Luke Jones for sexual misconduct, after the bosun got into Margot Sisson’s bunk without consent. Consequently, Jason fired another cast member as well, Laura Bileskalne, for her inappropriate comments regarding the incident. By firing these crew members, Jason showed that he didn’t tolerate sexual misconduct or anyone who treated the incident lightly.
Although quite the different scenario, Lala Kent seemingly sided with Ariana Madix during Scandoval. Ariana reportedly found a sexually explicit video of Rachel Leviss on her long-term partner Tom Sandoval‘s phone. Rachel sent the whole Pump Rules cast a letter demanding they delete the video as it made her look bad. To this, Lala famously replied “Send it to Darrell!” in a now-deleted Instagram video. With this statement, Lala was requesting that Rachel send any legal requests to her attorney, Darrell Miller, and leave her out of it. Lala has called Tom a “sociopath,” is friends with Ariana to this day.
Fans loved Lala’s response to Rachel’s letter. The Pump Rules star was seen at BravoCon selling bright purple “Send It To Darrell” sweatshirts. Many viewers eagerly lined up to purchase one to wear throughout the event. In short, both the Captain and Lala are no stranger to being involved in scandals. However, both have been involved in such situations in a way that Bravo viewers praised.
Captain Jason and Lala Are Both Single Parents
On the first episode of Below Deck Season 2, the well-loved Captain Jason revealed in a confessional that he has a young daughter, Saskia, whom he co-parents with his ex. In the confessional, Jason explains that he still runs a business with his ex, but they are no longer together.
Similarly, Lala is also a single parent to her daughter, Ocean Kent, whom she had with her former fiancé, Randall Emmett. Before Ocean was born in 2021, when Lala was still with Randall, Lala acted as a stepmom to Randall’s children.
Being a parent is one thing, but being a single parent is definitely another. People who aren’t single parents may have a hard time understanding all of the nuances that come along with it. The fact that Jason and Lala are both single parents is one great reason why they would be a good match for each other.
There is Clearly Chemistry Between the Two
Both Lala and the Captain were seen at BravoCon taking flirty photos together. Lala posted a photo in which she is seen cuddling up to the Captain with her hand on his chest. What’s more, the Vanderpump Rules star shared a video to her Instagram Story in which she was adjusting her heel, and then looked up and saw Captain Jason, and told him to come help. With a smile, the Captain came over to Lala to assist her. Lala captioned the Story, “I always get what I want.” Okay, Lala, we see you!
What’s more, Chief Stew Aesha Scott from Below Deck Down Under said in an interview with US Weekly that she thought Lala and Jason should definitely get together, because it might “be a little bit freaky.” Jason said, “freaky’s good!,” in response. We aren’t sure exactly what will happen with these two, but we are definitely excited to find out.
