Vanderpump Rules star Tom Sandoval was, without a doubt, the most despised figure on Bravo at the height of Scandoval. Cheating on his longtime girlfriend, Ariana Madix, with her friend, Rachel Leviss, earned Sandoval tremendous backlash from Pump Rules fans. And his bestie, Tom Schwartz, who stood by his side, also cashed in on the tidal wave of bad vibes.
Sandoval confessed to being worried about the crowd’s reaction at BravoCon. “If [Ariana] comes out, it’s like, ‘Yay,’ [or] whatever. Then I come out and people are going to want to show their, like, loyalty to Team Ariana or whatever, and I’m a little nervous about that,” Sandoval shared during his podcast, Everybody Loves Tom.
Well, Sandoval was correct about the crowd reaction when he joined the VPR panel. He was booed by the fans. Later, Schwartz and Sandoval opened up about what the experience was like.
Schwartz and Sandoval will, sadly, never grow up
Schwartz shared how Sandoval felt about the negative reception. “Don’t let him fool you. He’s masochistic,” Schwartz told Page Six. “He’s very aroused right now.” Sandoval added that he was “glad that it’s done.” I wish these men would start to mature.
Sandoval continued, “I knew [facing the fans here] was going to be a hard one. And I know, like, obviously when you have a lot of people together, it becomes kind of like a… like, almost like a sporting event,” he added.
During the panel, Sandoval and James Kennedy ended up in a push-up contest sans shirts. And Ariana was not a fan. “Jump scare…I needed a trigger warning,” she said as she looked away. Same, Ariana. Same.
We all know that Sandoval is to blame for his predicament. When Rachel opted not to return to the show, that left him in the hot seat, all alone. Well, except for Schwartz. So, while he knew his reception at BravoCon would be hostile, he had to face it. Time to pay the piper, Sandoval.
