The fans at BravoCon 2023 are just as opinionated as ever! Last year, they were booing Lisa Rinna as she walked out on stage for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills panel. This year, the crowds are directing their ire at Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice.
Andy Cohen was discussing RHONJ during his Ask Andy panel on the first day of BravoCon. When chatting about the major rift between Melissa Gorga and Teresa, fans started chanting, “Fire Teresa!” People reported all of the messy details.
Is Teresa the problem?
Fans asked Andy about the current state of affairs on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Season 13 ended with Melissa and Teresa’s relationship at an all-time low. How could they co-exist for Season 14?
“I think that’s what is refreshing about the season, and I actually kind of found it refreshing last season, is they’re not even pretending. I mean, they just hate each other,” Andy explained. “So it’s like once that’s out the door, it actually kind of takes the energy out of the whole thing and then you can move on and tell other stories, which is what is happening this season.”
That’s a solid answer from Andy about the upcoming season. What more could you expect him to say? He even teased how the alliances shifted over the last few months, making for an interesting watch. However, the fans in the crowd weren’t living for that answer. They started chanting, “Fire Teresa!”
Jeff Lewis, the moderator of the panel, jumped in and dismissed the crowd’s calls for Teresa to get the axe. He argued that “she brings in the ratings,” so she’s an irreplaceable part of the cast.
“You can’t fire her,” Jeff interjected. “That’s the problem. I mean, I like Teresa. I’m fine, I’m good with her now. I don’t want to cause any more problems.”
Season 14 of RHONJ started filming over the summer, and the season has already wrapped. So, for those wanting Bravo to fire Teresa, you’ll at least have to wait until Season 15.
