Robyn Dixon seems to be covering her eyes when it comes to the million red flags her second-time-around husband, Juan Dixon, continues to wave. However, Karen Huger has kept her foot on Robyn’s neck. Robyn was notoriously quiet about Juan’s shady behavior last season on The Real Housewives of Potomac, but Karen recently said we’ll see her holding Robyn accountable during Season 8.
And if Karen’s BravoCon 2023 antics are any indication, we’re in for a wild ride this season. Karen ate Robyn up and left no crumbs when the conversation pivoted to the whole Dixon debacle.
Karen said it’s time to “get some truth”
The BravoCon 2023 RHOP panel was on the event’s last day and proved to be worth the wait. The Bachelorette’s Rachel Lindsay was the moderator. When she asked the women who would get the most heat at the Season 8 reunion, everyone agreed that Robyn would have the most to answer for.
Robyn did that thing where she sits around in denial like, lalala everything’s fine, and said she already talked about it all. And that’s where the Grande Dame slinked in and went off.
Karen began, “The viewers watch things reveal themselves this season … when it should have been in last season. I don’t dislike Robyn, but we’re going to get some truth, OK?”
Robyn tried to shut Karen down, responding, “She makes no sense, y’all.”
This only further ignited Karen. “Let’s be clear, you lied all seventh season,” Karen said. She added that Season 8 shows them having some “great conversation” about the topic, but “the only person on this platform that makes no f*cking sense is Robyn Dixon.”
Robyn tried to defend herself and throw some shade at Karen, but it fell flat. “She’s obsessed with me,” Robyn said. “She’s extremely upset with me, and you will see it in Season 8. That sh*t is actually crazy.”
Robyn reiterated that she believes she already discussed everything. It clearly wasn’t in a way that satisfied Karen though, who replied, “I didn’t think you would answer the question honestly. She does address it in her way. You just have to speak her language.”
“You sound crazy! You’re just saying stuff to be saying stuff,” exclaimed Robyn.
Robyn believes there’s nothing else to discuss
Robyn tried to explain that she didn’t talk much about Juan’s rumored infidelity last season because it all happened five months before filming began and she and Juan had already dealt with it.
Karen didn’t seem to buy it, but softened a bit at the end of the conversation. “I’m happy that Robyn and Juan are in a good place, let’s be clear. But they broke the rules.”
From what we saw in the Season 8 preview and Episode 1 last night, this conversation definitely isn’t over.
