A Teresa and Melissa Confrontation Is Essential For RHONJ Season 14

The world of the Real Housewives of New Jersey is special, cut from a different cloth. Since Season 3, the show has primarily been based around Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga’s family feud. Fans have been given years of entertainment, which has included a Catskills brawl, a chaotic christening, and a grapes of wrath situation in a California vineyard.

Still, Season 13 showed the two women finally tiring of their snarky snips and hanging up their gloves. However, as much as Bravo fans want a new storyline, it has become a horrible realization that we desperately need their catty wordplay and table-throwing to continue. A Teresa and Melissa confrontation is just what next season needs.

It has been revealed that Teresa is refusing to converse with Melissa at the Season 14 reunion. This, my friends, is unacceptable. It has been round after round of the Tre vs. Melissa pay-per-view, with no actual winner at the end of each season. Viewers thought at the end of last season that the network might have decided to let one of the women go, but no. We’re still in purgatory, preparing for the likely lackluster season ahead.

RHONJ has relied on Teresa and Melissa since fans learned you could bring the wrong Christmas cookies to an Italian gathering. FYI never chose the sprinkle cookies. For years, both women have carried the weight of the Garden State. They often put their family dynamics on the line for the sake of extra TV time. Somehow, the plan worked, and Bravo was more than happy to share their mutual dislike for one another. However, now, with mum being the word, the tactic no longer seems to be working.

It appears that Teresa is doing everything in her power to avoid having an on-screen fight with her arch-nemesis. But that is a problem. Everyone knows an altercation is essential for the success of the upcoming season. Even though there are still some heavy hitters, literally, like Jennifer Aydin and Danielle Cabral, no one compares to the Gorga/Giudice fights.

It has been noted that Melissa may be demoted to a friend or let go altogether. After all, without Teresa, she lacks any form of storyline. The mother of three has always had her drama surround her sister-in-law, never bothering to really make a name for herself. Yes, she has had small moments like her singing career and her fashion boutique, but nothing has matched Teresa’s journey of jail, divorce, and Louis Ruelas

Teresa’s delusional thoughts have been attributed to most of her on-screen eruptions. No other housewife has tried so hard to convince an audience that her sister-in-law is a stripper, thrown more drinks, or pushed Andy Cohen back into his chair than Teresa. It can be argued that her altercations actually helped make the New Jersey franchise what it is today. If fans don’t want a reboot, they should be praying for Teresa to lose her namaste attitude and go all Paterson on the On Display singer.

Even though almost all viewers have become tired of Tre’s antics, with many pointing out it has been YEARS of the same storyline, it turns out we may need the very same antics to save the franchise from the brink of collapse. Teresa especially has given so much to the series, sharing her dumpster fire of marriage and mob-like mentality. To think of a Teresa and Melissa confrontation not happening during Season 14 is really unfathomable.

Even though Teresa and Melissa were never meant to be besties, it is hard to believe that they weren’t meant to be the best TV frenemies of all time. The two have always been consistent when it comes to their bickering, which is something viewers have always counted on. If, for some reason, Teresa really chooses to no longer prolong the constant fighting, it could spell curtains for the series.

If the Real Housewives gods can hear us, please bring one more epic battle for Teresa and Melissa. Heck, even a little punch thrown would be acceptable. I really appreciate any help you can provide.
