Dancing with the Stars Season 32 Episode 6
(Disney/Eric McCandless)

Welcome back! It is already Episode 6 of Dancing with the Stars Season 32. This week, the contestants will embrace the Halloween spirit for Monster Week.

Guest judge Niecy Nash-Betts will join the frightening festivities in the DWTS ballroom.

In addition, the Dance Marathon, dubbed the “Dance Monster-thon” returns to the ballroom. The dancing couples will perform a Hustle to Stayin’ Alive by the Bee Gees and a Charleston to Kris Bowers’ Grim Grinning Ghosts (Dance Party.)

Couples will be tapped out of the Monster-thon by the judges. At stake are extra judges’ points based on how long the couple remains on the dance floor. These points are added to the judges’ points from the first round to give the final leaderboard score.

Last week, actress Mira Sorvino and Gleb Savchenko were sent home. So, who will exit the ballroom this week?

Remember, your vote counts. During the live East Coast broadcast, fans can vote at ABC.com and also vote via text. As always, votes will be combined with the judges’ scores to determine who is eliminated.

Let’s get into the recap!

Jason Mraz and Daniella Karagach

Dancing with the Stars Season 32 Episode 6
(ABC/Andrew Eccles)

Contemporary to Zombie by The Cranberries.

Jason Mraz and Daniella Karagach were mummy/zombies for their contemporary routine. Bruno Tonioli called it “a mini-Gothic drama.” Carrie Ann Inaba called it “amazing.”

Jason scored 36 out of 40.

Alyson Hannigan and Sasha Farber

Dancing with the Stars Season 32 Episode 6
(ABC/Andrew Eccles)

Paso Doble to Supermassive Black Hole by Muse.

It is fitting that Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Alyson Hannigan and Sasha Farber were vampires tonight.

Carrie Ann said their side-by-side work and cape work was great in their Paso Doble. Judge Derek Hough commended her “power and attack.” Sasha took a moment to praise Alyson’s work ethic, which was sweet.

Alyson received 29 out of 40.

Xochitl Gomez and Val Chmerkovskiy

Dancing with the Stars Season 32 Episode 6
(ABC/Andrew Eccles)

Contemporary to Game of Survival by Ruelle.

Xochitl Gomez and Val Chmerkovskiy danced a contemporary undead routine. In the performance, Val brought Xochitl back from the dead. After the routine, it looked like Xochitl was injured.

Bruno loved the story of the dance. Derek told her she sent “shivers down his spine.” Val carried poor Xochitl up the stairs to the sky box.

She scored 37 out of 40.

Harry Jowsey and Rylee Arnold

(ABC/Andrew Eccles)

Argentine Tango to Blinding Lights by District 78.

Too Hot to Handle star Harry Jowsey and his partner, Rylee Arnold, became aliens for their Argentine Tango. The duo was feeling down because of mean comments on social media about Harry’s dancing.

Rylee’s sister, DWTS alum Lindsay Arnold, came in to help train and advise them. Harry did better, in my opinion. Carrie Ann told Harry that he was “going in the right direction.” Bruno praised his musicality, his discipline, and the increase in content.

Harry earned 28 out of 40.

Barry Williams and Peta Murgatroyd

Dancing with the Stars Season 32 Episode 6
(ABC/Andrew Eccles)

Viennese Waltz to It’s A Man’s, Man’s, Man’s World by James Brown.

Actor Barry Williams danced a Viennese Waltz with Peta Murgatroyd. For Monster Night, the duo dressed as a werewolf and Little Red Riding Hood.

Derek felt like the character overshadowed the dance itself. Niecy loved the “passion of the dance.” And Carrie Ann called the performance “wonderful.”

Barry received 31 out of 40.

Ariana Madix and Pasha Pashkov

Dancing with the Stars Season 32 Episode 6
(ABC/Andrew Eccles)

Argentine Tango to Bad Guy by Billie Eilish.

Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix and Pasha Pashkov danced an Argentine Tango as a harpy and harpy slayer. It was breathtaking!

Niecy said she is “obsessed” with Ariana. Bruno called the performance “thrilling and so, so hot.” Carrie Ann said Ariana “has what it takes to win it.” Wow!

Ariana scored 37 out of 40.

Lele Pons and Brandon Armstrong

Dancing with the Stars Season 32 Episode 6
(ABC/Andrew Eccles)

Paso Doble to Bloody Mary (Wednesday Addams dance TikTok version) by Lady Gaga

Social media star Lele Pons and Brandon Armstrong dressed up as a dead goth girl and a spider. Their Paso Doble was called “lethal” by Bruno.

Carrie Ann called Lele out for not finishing her moves. Niecy complimented her footwork.

Lele earned 33 out of 40.

Mauricio Umansky and Emma Slater

Dancing with the Stars Season 32 Episode 6
(ABC/Andrew Eccles)

Argentine Tango to Somebody’s Watching Me by Rockwell.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Mauricio Umansky dressed up as a gored matador. Really? Were there no other choices in the world?

And while we aren’t sure exactly what is going on between them, Mauricio and his dance partner, Emma Slater, were spotted holding hands. Then they posted an awkward video explanation. Mauricio is separated from his wife, Kyle Richards.

Anyway, his Argentine Tango with Emma was steamy. Carrie Ann would like some more core strength. Bruno felt that the style was not correct for the Argentine Tango.

Mauricio scored 31 out of 40.

Charity Lawson and Artem Chigvintsev

Dancing with the Stars Season 32 Episode 6
(ABC/Andrew Eccles)

Jive to Skeleton Sam by LVCRFT.

The Bachelorette star Charity Lawson and Artem Chigvintsev danced an entertaining Jive as skeletons. Derek loved the concept but thought it needed more power. Bruno thought it was “deliciously spooky fun.”

Charity earned 35 out of 40.

The Dance Monster-Thon

Dancing with the Stars Season 32 Episode 6
(Disney/Eric McCandless)

During the Hustle, the couples must stay in a contained space. During the Charleston, couples can move across the whole floor. I love how the Grim Reaper would tap the couples out.

First out was Barry and Peta, followed by Harry and Riley. They get one bonus point each.

Mauricio and Emma were out next, followed by Alyson and Sasha. They each got two bonus points added to their score. Next, Charity and Artem were out, gaining three points.

Then it was time for the Charleston. Jason and Daniella were tapped out and earned three points.

Lele and Brandon were out next, followed by Ariana and Pasha. Both couples earned four bonus points.

Xochitl and Val won, adding 5 bonus points to their score. Host Julianne Hough dumped a bucket of red confetti on the winners, like in the movie Carrie. I can’t believe that Xochitl danced for four minutes with an injury.

The leaderboard

Xochitl and Val were at the top with 42 points, followed by Ariana and Pasha with 41 points. Harry and Rylee were at the bottom with 29 points.

The final three

While not necessarily the bottom three, two of these couples are safe:

  • Harry and Rylee
  • Mauricio and Emma
  • Alyson and Sasha

Going home tonight

It is the end of the road for Mauricio and Emma.

Next week, get ready for Music Video Night with guest judge Paula Abdul.

Dancing with the Stars continues on Tuesdays on ABC and Disney+.
