Luis Ruelas’ Ex-Fiancée Denied Restraining Order, Lawyer Claims ‘Publicity Stunt’

Let’s all send out a round of congratulations to Luis Ruelas for dodging a bullet! Luis is married to the queen of Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa Giudice, and being Mr. Giudice doesn’t come without its fair share of problems.

While Tre and Luis are living happily ever after, one of Luis’ ex-loves isn’t having a very easy time. Vanessa Reiser previously had a relationship with Luis and it definitely wasn’t a fairy tale when it ended.

Despite multiple complaints from Vanessa about Luis allegedly stalking her, she’s been shut down by the court. Now we’ve learned Vanessa won’t get a restraining order, and Luis’ lawyer called it a “publicity stunt.” Page Six has the details.

Luis’ ex-fiancée doesn’t hold him in very high regard. Vanessa dated Luis from 2018 – 2020 and earlier this year she accused him of spying on her where she works. She’s currently a licensed therapist and deals in narcissistic abuse. Vanessa believed a female client who was asking her about Luis was working for him on the down low.

Luis’ ex alleged this female patient would ask her questions like, “Do you still love Luis?,” “How was it with your abuser?” and “if [Luis] were to leave his wife [Teresa] and show any regret … would you want to be with him?”

As it turns out, the judge wasn’t impressed with Vanessa’s implications. The court ruled Luis wins this one. According to court documents, “The court not only dismissed Ms. Reiser’s complaint and denied her application for a permanent restraining order, but also found that she was ‘obsessed’ with Mr. Ruelas, continuously bothering he and his family.”

Additionally, “In essence, the court held that the filing of the restraining order was akin to a publicity stunt.” Luis’ lawyer released a statement in response to the ruling. He said, “Louie was completely vindicated today and looks forward to putting this all behind him. We thank the court for its lengthy, well-reasoned, and factually-supported opinion.”

Vanessa’s POV

Vanessa’s attorney responded to the decision. “Our goal was always her protection by exposing the truth about Luis’ offensive conduct.” He continued, “Indeed, for her protection, we were ‘obsessed’ with proving Luis did this invasive thing so that he never does it again. Vanessa feels completely vindicated and now protected by having outing him for this offensive conduct.”

RHONJ is currently filming Season 14. The cast will be headed to BravoCon this week where fans can pick sides and see separate panels because everyone acting like adults and being cordial is far too much to ask.
