The feud between Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga left quite the schism in the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast. But one cast member who’s been unaffected is Jackie Goldschneider.
Jackie was team Melissa all the way but has recently developed a friendship with Teresa. Fans were surprised to see the two dropping supportive comments on each other’s social media pages. Tre even showed up at Jackie’s recent book signing.
Jackie’s 180 seemed to come out of nowhere. Recently, the former full-time Housewife spoke with HELLO! about the newfound friendship.
Where does Jackie stand with Teresa and Melissa?
For Jackie, her friendship with Teresa came down to maturation. “We both grew up,” she said. “I think our lives changed a lot in the past three years and we found ourselves at this point as different people, and we were drawn to each other.” She further explained, “Once we opened ourselves up to that friendship, [we realized] we really like each other.”
Jackie also commented on how much she felt she’d grown. “I’m very open now, my mindset has changed – therapy has been life-changing for me and not just from a food standpoint but for self-esteem. I used to do a lot of things because I felt like that would keep my friends happy and would make them like me, and I’m a completely different person now.”
She continued, “Once I stopped worrying about that, I was able to back away from unhealthy relationships and really fill my life with people who made me feel good.” As for Melissa, Jackie said, “I think Melissa knows that one friendship has nothing to do with the other … We’re filming a reality show so you have to be able to have relationships with everyone.”
Real Housewives of New Jersey is expected to return to Bravo in mid-2024.
