Basketball Wives’ Brittish Williams Handed Four-Year Prison Sentence for Fraud

First, it was Teresa Giudice, then it was Jen Shah, and now, it’s Basketball Wives alum Brittish Williams. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Brittish has been sentenced to four years in federal prison for defrauding the government of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

If you don’t remember, this reality star joined the Basketball Wives franchise during Season 3 of the LA iteration. In 2011, she was engaged to ball player Lorenzo Gordon and showcased her fiery side during arguments with Brandi Maxiell and Malaysia Pargo.

After leaving and returning to the series in 2022, Brittish faced more than petty beef with her girlfriends. In May 2023, the 33-year-old pleaded guilty to multiple fraud charges, including bank fraud, wire fraud, and numerous counts of misusing a Social Security Number.

Brittish says bye, bye, bye for many years

Today, a federal judge sentenced Brittish to four years in federal prison. And when you think about her crimes, it’s the least bit surprising.

U.S. Attorney Sayler A. Fleming said in May, “British Williams has admitted an unusually large number of frauds that victimized taxpayers, banks, credit card companies, individuals, and programs that were intended to help struggling businesses and employees during the COVID-19 pandemic.”

They continued: “This is a first step towards justice for those victims. We will also be seeking repayment of all of her ill-gotten gains.”

After reading the specifics of her case, this woman stopped at nothing. If it wasn’t stealing others’ identification numbers, it was stealing money from people’s paychecks. And if that wasn’t enough, she faked medical bills and federal applications. The list goes on and on.

We’re unsure when the reality star will report to camp, but you can bet we’ll be here to talk about it when it happens. In the meantime, hopefully, someone can tell her pal to control that temper before it lands her a spot next to her bestie in Cell Block A.

Basketball Wives continues on Mondays at 9 p.m. ET.
