The production behind Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 sounds nothing short of agonizing. Every week, it seems a new report comes out about how difficult it is to film the upcoming season.
Maybe it’s Teresa Giudice refusing to appear beside Melissa Gorga. Or Danielle Cabral and Jennifer Aydin being suspended from filming, the ladies aren’t making it easy on production this year.
But amid all the challenges, one stood out—the cancellation of the cast trip. Once the cancellation was confirmed, rumors flew. Everything was theorized, from too boring to too violent. Now, Andy Cohen has come forward to confirm the truth … maybe.
The RHONJ cast couldn’t stay with Dorinda
On SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, Andy was speaking with Danny Pellegrino, who asked, “When are we filming at Blue Stone Manor again? Like, another girls’ trip or something?” Andy revealed that “The Jersey women were supposed to go. They were going in the area of the Berkshires on their trip and—” Danny cut him off to ask if they would film at Dorinda Medley’s house.
“They were gonna film at Dorinda’s house,” Andy confirmed. However, he added, “I’m just saying this, and the place that they were staying burned down, so the trip got, I mean, literally like the day before they were leaving to go.” Danny asked if they couldn’t have just shifted to Dorinda’s house for the full trip.
Andy explained, “No, we weren’t gonna have them stay at Dorinda’s house because that’s just a different show basically.” Danny then asked about the rumors: “I saw a report … saying that the trip was canceled because it was boring, but there was a fire?” Andy confirmed once more, “The house literally burned down.”
Danny then asked if it ever annoyed Andy to see the rumors about these sorts of things. Andy said, “There’s no end to annoying things. There’s no end to annoying lies and mistruths or half-truths or just made-up shit that’s out there, but I just keep walking one foot ahead. Keep on keeping on.”
