Mauricio Umansky Slammed by Judge in Court Battle Over $32 Million Mansion

I don’t think Mauricio Umansky can Merengue out of this one. Dancing with the Stars might be a nice distraction for Mo, but apparently when he isn’t learning the finer points of the paso doble, he’s trying to double-step his way through a court case.

Not only is Mauricio dealing with being separated from the love of his life, the $32 million Malibu mansion sale continues to haunt him. Unfortunately for Mauricio, it looks like the judge in charge of this case isn’t charmed by his incredibly white smile and he got spanked in court. Radar has the scoop.

Woe is Mo – again

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills returns this week! Believe it or not, a lot of drama is surrounding Mauricio of all people. What you will see is his big drama with Kyle Richards. What you won’t see is the legal mess he’s been in for years regarding the sale of a house.

The judge overseeing Mauricio’s court case involving the infamous Malibu mansion is pretty much sick of Mo at this point. Mauricio was placed in the naughty chair while the judge gave him some things to consider in a firm tone of voice.

Both Mauricio and the developer who believes he was hoodwinked are trying to get all fancy and playing games with the judge. Neither apparently will submit text messages that involved the deal that went down between 2016 and 2017.

Mauricio claims his text messages disappeared like Kyle’s patience when he purchased a new cell phone. The other guy, Sam Hakim went with saying electronic chatting didn’t exist at the time. He figured out messaging did in fact exist in 2016 when his co-plaintiff turned over the messages.

Judge Mark H. Epstein with the Los Angeles Superior Court is not impressed and shared his feelings with both Mauricio and Sam Hakim. He advised them Jesus would be coming in to take the wheel if they continued the “gamesmanship.”

He said, “Given the fact that each party has now made representations to the court that the court has found to be misleading and potentially deliberately so, the parties might want to think a long time before bringing more discovery motions.”

The statement continued, “Rather, they ought to just obey the statutes regarding discovery and turn over the information as the law requires. The rule they ought to follow is that if they are thinking about whether they need to turn it over, they do. The court is tired of what appears to be gamesmanship by both sides.”

You won’t be hearing about this on RHOBH

This is all over the sketchy real estate transaction between Mauricio and Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue of Equatorial Guinea. Teodoro was busted stealing money from his actual country, so these are not the people to mess with.

It’s alleged Mauricio refused to sell the Malibu property despite receiving another offer. Sam Hakim and his real estate agent allege Mauricio not only ignored their bid, but he defrauded the federal government to get a cut of the sale.

One year after Marucio and his partner purchased the home, they resold it under the radar for $70 million. Then they made a $37 million profit. At this time, it is assumed Judge Epstein will not be voting for Maurico on DWTS.

Dancing with the Stars continues on Tuesdays at 8 PM/ET on ABC.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premieres on Wednesday, October 25 at 8 PM/ET on Bravo.
