Hannah Ferrier is throwing some Below Deck Med shade! Okay, I’m just going to come out with it. I am a Hannah Ferrier fan and therefore, have bias. I think we all stan at least one polarizing reality star so just roll with me here. The former Below Deck Mediterranean chief stew spent the first five seasons on the hit Bravo show before she was (unjustly) fired.
While filming Season 5 of the show, nemesis Malia White decided to narc out Hannah to Captain Sandy Yawn. Hannah’s offense? Having a CBD pen and prescribed Valium on board. Don’t even get me started about how mental health is handled on reality TV. But this one seemed particularly cruel given that it was all right there on film.
Captain Sandy fired Hannah over it and viewers were mostly outraged. Now over two years after the incident, Yahoo is reporting on Hannah throwing some serious shade at the show.
Hannah Ferrier’s hitting snooze on Below Deck Med
After second stew Kyle Viljoen appeared on Watch What Happens Live, Hannah took a moment to read Below Deck Med in the comments. In response to Kyle’s teaser that Captain Sandy would lose her cool with a guest on an episode, Hannah wrote, “Augh. I get why you try replace me every season.” She added a sleeping emoji to emphaize her boredom.
After being fired, Hannah was candid about her poor relationship with Sandy. Which she believes led to her being treated unfairly and ultimately, getting her fired. Back in 2020, Hannah said of Sandy, “She’s saying that it was a safety issue going to sea, I didn’t declare the medications. You can hype it up as much as you like about maritime laws and all that, but it’s nothing to do with that. It’s a Hannah thing, it’s not a Valium thing.”
Second shade
This isn’t the first time Hannah has shaded Below Deck Med for being boring either. In 2022, Hannah noted how often the show has changed chief stew’s since her departure. “It’s really hard because obviously they’ve changed the chief stew every season since I left. And I feel like it’s such an important role on Below Deck to fill,” she stated.
In her life after Below Deck Med, Hannah has gotten married and had a baby. So, it’s all looking up for the Bravolebrity!
