On the most recent episode of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, fans saw Monica Garcia take a bit of a turn for the worse. Monica’s done quite well for herself in Season 4, and fans have generally loved what she brings to the table.
However, Monica’s recent interaction with her mom, Linda, as well as Angie Katsanevas, rubbed many the wrong way. Lots of viewers thought that Monica had chosen the wrong setting to try and confront Angie—a joint Easter party.
Moreover, when Monica’s mom tried to intervene in the confrontation, Monica’s behavior toward her was rather deplorable. Among the viewers who had a hard time with Monica’s behavior was Tamra Judge, who took to her podcast, Two Ts In A Pod, to voice her thoughts.
Is Monica “playing it up for the cameras?”
Tamra and her cohost, Teddi Mellencamp, criticized Monica for her behavior with Angie. When the two confronted each other, Tamra and Teddi found it odd just how quickly Monica lashed out. “The tonality? She’s just going from zero to 10 so quickly,” said Teddi. Tamra also said, “I’m not convinced that this is really who Monica is.”
She continued, “I feel like Monica is playing it up for the cameras.” She further implied that Monica was trying to do all the typical Housewife things to ensure she’d have a spot on the show in the future. Teddi, however, considered that Monica’s treatment of her mother revealed who she truly was.
Tamra admitted, “I like Monica so far, but she just isn’t listening … She’s talking without listening.” Teddi agreed and said, “I think she’s just so bothered that her mom is getting involved that she can’t even process what Angie’s saying.” The two discussed the situation further, suggesting that Monica stop filming with her mother if things continued as seen thus far.
Real Housewives of Salt Lake City continues Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
