Real Housewives of Orange County star Gina Kirschenheiter doesn’t ask for much. She just wants a happy family living in a happy casita with no relationship drama. She’s been there and done that.
But Gina’s partner Travis Mullen is going through some trying times with his ex. Just because Gina is able to manage a copacetic relationship with someone who threatened her life doesn’t mean all former couples can get along. Now Travis is getting some heat for how he handled a sensitive situation. Radar has the scoop.
Using drug charges as ammo?
Travis and his former wife are battling it out and he would very much appreciate a restraining order against her. He’s also got her previous charges and he isn’t afraid to use them.
On May 23, Travis’ ex-wife Meghan was pulled over by cops in Irvine, CA. She was found to be holding Lorazepam. This is an anxiety medication that can get you addicted, so it’s considered a controlled substance. Meghan received two misdemeanor charges of possession of a designated substance and possession of a designated substance without a prescription.
Meghan’s case was ultimately dismissed and she claims Travis was fully aware of the situation. As for Travis, he was granted a TRO (temporary restraining order) against Meghan after accusing her of violating a criminal protective order and coming within 100 yards of his home. Poor Gina can’t catch a break with these crazy exes wandering around
After an “incident” in October 2021, Travis requested the protective order and Meghan was charged with misdemeanor battery. In a court petition from August of this year, Travis wrote, “She [Meghan] has also threatened me and my family, and has engaged in a campaign of harassment, unwanted contact, attempted extortion, and threats of harm if I do not comply with her demands.”
Meghan’s response coming in hot
Additionally, he brought up the drug possession that was dismissed. “On May 23, 2023, Meghan was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. Meghan’s arraignment is set for September 6, 2023. I did not become aware of these criminal charges until June 26, 2023,” Travis explained.
And that made Meghan very unhappy. Something tells me things happen when Meghan is unhappy … She then accused Travis of using the drug charges to boost his side of the divorce war.
“Respondent understands the charge related to the controlled substance issue is going to be dropped, as the issue was related to anxiety medication and Respondent had to submit evidence of a prescription,” Meghan responded.
It continued, “If this was an actual concern of Petitioner, he most likely would have filed an ex parte back when the incident occurred. He did not. Most likely he did not because there was no custody issues occurring, and he did not need to try to take a shot at getting an unfair advantage like he is doing now.”
Hopefully everything works out for all parties involved.
